"I'm cold" - Am I reading her right?

Well, there is this girl I'm crushing on and I am not sure if I am not reading something into her behavior that is just not there, so... I try to keep it short: We're 17/18 and go to the same school. I attempted to flirt with her about 9 months ago, but was not aware she had a boyfriend by then. Of course I stepped back after she dropped the hint.

However, after they split up ~1 month ago she approached me again, but I'm not sure whether she's actually trying to get "in touch" with me...

The biggest hint might be that on several occasions she has stated that she was "being cold" (which is no surprise, its -12°C out here) - she did this once back when I first talked to her; I offered my jacket (okay, kinda ironically), she refused. I did not put any thought in this afterwards.

Now she does this again and I'm uncertain how to read this:

Is she trying to find out if I'm (still) interested / fishing for a hug or am I plain wrong and this means nothing? After all, its pretty cold right now ;)

She could just be saying 'I'm cold' to fill in any gaps in the conversation. I think if that's the most you have in terms of examples of her flirting, then I would say that you may be over-reading the situation.

Well, actually its just one of a number of things like her constantly striking up conversations with me since her breakup but not before (quite uncommon, she's rather shy as am I), frequent eye contact and so on... I'm just insecure because over-reading is the last thing I wanna do ;)

Ok that sounds like she's flirting there with the frequent eye contact and stuff. I try not to give guys too much eye contact as not to send the wrong message and lead someone on as I've been accused of in the past. I have gone out of my way to strike up a convo with a guy that I liked before and I always gave plenty eye contact... I would add, though, that a good sign of attraction would be if she combines the eye contact with subtle breaks- looking down and away. i.e. Yo you make her shy

Touch her hand to see if they are cold and if they are hold them close to you. She is hoping for a physical touch which if the hand thing works could lead onto a move being made ;)

I think she is lol, I normally say that to a guy when I want physical touch :P, so I think you should hug her next time and see how she responds that's how you will obtain your answer :P good luck! ;)
