How do you hug a guy when they are way taller than you?

say if they are 6'2 and you are only 5'2 how would you go about giving him a hug? I don't think I can reach my arms around his neck?

This isn't that hard to figure out. There are three kinds of hugs, high, low, and medium. The high is the kind you mentioned. Arms around the neck. The medium is where you put one arm around the neck, the other around the chest or waist. The low is simple, and what you should be doing. Just wrap both arms around his ribs or waist, and squeeze tight. In this case you might even be able to bury your face in his chest, which I'm sure he'll love. So yeah, just some stuff to consider. Especially since you sound pretty darned short, I imagine this will make things a lot easier in future. So good luck.

That's easy... I'm 6'1 and my girl runs up to me and jumps wrapping her arms around my neck, and wrapping her legs around my waist... But that's my GF... I don't know if this guy is just a friend and if so that might be awkward for both of you...

Most guys bend down to put their arms around your waist, so you can usually reach up and put your arms around their neck. Don't worry about it :)

my b.f is 6'2 I am 5'3 I go on my tip toes and wrap my arms around his neck but a regular hug it goes around his waist its cuuuute ^_^

My buddy is 6'5" and his wife is 4'10". They figure it out. And, yes, she does sometimes stand on steps or furniture so they can be eye-to-eye.

well if he's a man and he wants your arms around his neck, he'll bend down and/or pick you up when he hugs you. Now if you don't want to be lifted, you'll have to warn him. Or if you do and he doesn't seem like he will, ask him to. You can't just tell him "lift me up next time we hug" though.

Hug him from the waist. I usually do that. I'm 5'1 and most guys are way taller than me anyway. :D
