How long does it take to forget your crush?

My crush is studying abroad and he's gone. We both liked each other, I felt that and the only reason why he isn't taking one step forward is because he's leaving, he doesn't wanted to leave me waiting. So we ended before really started. I may not see him in a few months at least. So I think you guys have someone who you like but can't be with them... How long does it take to forget them? And will you still like them even you can't be together?

i had a crush when i was in high school , she liked someone else but by crush i mean REAL crush i have never loved any one like this it feel like she is different from every one else and she was in one of my classes and that class was 2 hours but it felt like 2 minutes when ever she present and when ever she talks to me i felt like my heart wants to leave my body but school year has been done and its been 4 years since 2017 till now 2021 i have never forgotten her every time she comes into my mind huge depression comes to me so i became a biker every time im in mood i cruise around and i have never liked or looked at any one the same way i used to look at her, and i have never dated any one past that.

You never forget a passionate connection like that. Instead you should embrace it and keep it in your mind. Remember the good times you had and how happy you were. It will make tomorrow a much happier day. It's OK to miss him, but remember that your whole life is ahead of you and there are endless possibilities.

I'm not going to lie to you. It takes a while to forget a serious crush. A passing crush fades, though you might still remember some things about him at random moments in your life. A "serious crush" usually involved hurt/crushed feelings, prolonged contact and some really sweet flirty memories that will stick around with you and potentially blur your vision to the perfectly good guys in front of you.

Just watch your step. Keep and open mind and heart to allow for love, but try not to let yourself "fall" till you have a better sense of who the guy is. They're called "crushes" for a reason and can leave your heart and soul bleeding, girl, without a medic in sight.
