Women: how to approach a woman in a grocery store?

Lets say a woman is shopping alone. A decent normal guy wants to talk to her. What is a good way to do that?

How do you like to be approached in that situation?

How should a guy NOT approach a woman?

Okay so lets say yyou go up to a woman and you start talking about a certain product she is looking at. Now how do you transition that conversation into something more interesting.

Ask how to tell if a particular product is good (have to tap watermelon or pluck part of greenery of pineapple to tell if good). Or ask her opinion about something she's picking up...it shouldn't be a problem transitioning into topics like school/work if she is not in a rush and slightly interested...

Well, you can take a product and ask her if she has tried that particular brand etc? Curiousity over the ingrediants can sometimes start a conversation.

A guy should not approach a woman by being so close and right up the neck or behind. Don't talk about calories etc.

See if you can get her to talk about a certain recipe and see if she will help you out on the ingredients. Then ask her if she would not mind showing you how to make it.

Ask her if the product she is looking at is good because you have been wanting to try it.

DON'T say I like your melons. Compliment her and relate the food/item to a great restaurant that you've been to or want to check out. Chat it up and then ask for her # to go out.
