Do guys remember or reminisce on their old crush(s)? How long does it take to forget?

I met a little sophomore guy in my high school year when I was a senior and I adored him. I pretended I was sophomore for my whole year and then confessed to him at the end of the year.

My friends always told me he liked me... I always denied it but now I looked back at this paradox, It seemed like he did.

He gave me his jacket when I was cold in class, flirted by trying to hit me and crap, and gave me a nick name and teased me with it etc. His friend even teased us getting married and crap. We would laugh it off or just pretend we didn't hear. I was never sure he liked me for sure but the signs were really strong :/

I just wonder if he remembers me as much as I do. I even have crazy dreams of him. I miss him so much and the thought if he still remembers bothers me.

So do guys remember their crushes? Do they reminisce on the past as much as girls? What does it take to make them remember a girl? Or do they move on once a new girl comes into their lives?

I still remember the girl I heavily crushed on when I was 14. (more than 50 years ago!)

I only fell out of love when we went of different colleges and I started looking at other girls.

I often thought and think about her (the way she was back then! !)

Last month I met her in the streets (my wife and two old friends were present) and yes, I remember her, would like to hear how her life has been. I'd help her 'for old times' sake' but that's all. I gave her my phone number but I idn't ask hers.

Thus forgetting? No, moving on absolutely!

I mean yeah we do but it's I'm not just going to sitback and think about for 10 or 20minutes of my day to think about her. Most people just move on to a newer one.
