How long should I wait to text my crush?

To text my crush? I have been crushing on him for a few months now and today I finally asked if he wanted to grab some lunch with me during the week. He said sure and he gave me his number and right now I really wanna text him but I don't want to seem too eager lol. So best time frame for me to wait and text him?

Oops so I think I f*cked up big time then, I texted him like 3 & half hours ago and he hasn't replied yet :/. Suppose if he doesn't text me back tomorrow I'll know for sure what it is or isn't going to be. Oh well you live and you learn.

If you two don't know each other that well yet, wait until you've actually gone out and met him before you start the texting. If you're going to text to set the time and place, try to seem casual and to-the-point. :p Save the things you really want to say for when you meet him. Texting will be much better after you two have actually done some talking in real life. Texting him before that will just be kinda awkward.

We work together and talk almost every time we see each other there. I have posted another question on here a week or so ago and appearantly I'm a forward sort of girl ( so I haven't scared him yet :P ). Would that make any difference?

You haven't screwed up. If a guy doesn't reply right away, it might just mean he's busy. PLUS, there's this thing where guys don't want to come off as clingy and so that might be why they don't reply right away. I know it sounds silly but eh...

If he doesn't text you back tomorrow, you should try sending him one other text before giving up.

How well do you know each other and what is his personality like? If you know each other really well, I say you're okay to text him sooner. I agree with TimeAndTimeAgain. Say hello, tell him who it is, and set the time and place.

Yeah he could of been, though I sent the text at 17:40 EST as he finished work at 14:45.
