Girls in bars think that you're approaching them for sex. It's a preconceived, illogical notion on their part. While yes, it's probably true that most people go to bars to hook up, I know a few people that have met wives and girlfriends through bars. They were obviously more open-minded than this bitch you tried to approach. Don't let what she did, discourage you, get back out there and try again
Some women just want a fun girls night out and they are tired of being hit on. It doesn't sound like her personality was very pretty though, so no loss there. Next time though, try to make eye contact and smile at her first and see what kind of response you get. If she smiles back, it is safe to approach.
They probably already have Bf's so they're not interested in talking to other guys. No excuse for being rude though, but guys at bars usually come on strong so maybe they had their bitch face on?
