My boyfriends cousin called him sexy?!

So basically, a few days ago I uploaded what I think to be the most attractive picture of my boyfriend. I took the photo a few weeks ago & had only just gotten round to uploading it. Once I did his cousin commented on the photo saying "Seeexxxyyyy cousin! Your girlfriend is a lucky lady hope to see you both before I leave xx" Now to me it's just so inappropriate! If it was ANY other female then obviously it WOULD be an issue! I just think it's EVEN MORE inappropriate for his cousin to say that to him seeing as they're related! :\ I would never dream of calling my male cousins that & vice versa. It's like she's trying to justify it as being OK by calling him "cousin" in the comment. I just get the feeling that if they weren't cousins she'd try to take this weird sexual attraction that she has with him one step further.

Now just to add before anyone suggests this, if she said this in a joking manner then surely she would've done this on either an un-attractive or funny photo of him, but it was on a REALLY attractive photo of him! I'd call him sexy in that photo (obv I'm allowed). Also, she has never commented like that before on his other photos because there are no other VERY attractive photos of him.

Sexy is a bit too far in my books! If she was just merely commenting on how "attractive" he looked then why not say something more acceptable and appropriate like "you look nice" or "you look handsome". Something that normal people would say to their families without it seeming odd. Would any of you on here call your cousin of the opposite gender sexy?


& after being betrayed by him cheating on me at the beginning of the relationship I've got every right "overreact" & to seem "overprotective"

I understand what you mean and say but the insecurity is your own and only you can deal with it. You'd probably think this way even if he hadn't cheated on you. You need to begin looking at things with other angles than waiting to pounce on every whim that enters your head. If you continue thinking this way I don't think at least this relationship is going to be fruitful in any way. You seem to be basically a person who is unable to control your insecurity i.e. even if you do seem and act confident you are basically insecure within.

I know you may not accept what I say but it's for your own good to begin with. You are just trying to prove to yourself maybe subconsciously that you are right and he (and whoever) is wrong

Sexy is not a sexual term; it's meant as a compliment which certainly does not imply that one is necessarily talking or thinking sexual

Sexy means that you're very very attractive(like a higher up for Hot) it doesn't mean they want to have sex with that person. I call people in my family Sexy when they truly look their best, when they look good. So I think your overreacting.
