Should I stop texting my hook up if I'm always the one initiating the meet up?

I've been hooking up with this guy for over 6 months now pretty regularly about once a week. At first he would ask to meet up, at either of our places. Then we equally initiated for a few weeks but for awhile now I'm the one likely to initiate a meet up. It's not flattering and I don't like how needy this feels but when I want some, I ask for it! There shouldn't be any shame in that! Since I'm a chick, sex is still an emotional connection for me and inviting myself over causes me to lose that emotional spark that gets me fired up when I see him. So now when I've invited myself over it takes some conversation to make that emotional connection and get riled up for the deed. I don't want my hook up to feel like work. The sex is amazing but the passion may soon be a lackluster. Should I wait for him to initiate a meet up? Once I am over he is all over me and the sex is satisfying but is it too much to ask to feel he wanted me over and meeting up was a mutual desire?

It has been two weeks once I've seen him and I have not texted. :( I don't miss him. I miss the sex but pride is making me hold back
