Do people call sandwiches "sandwiches" all around the world?
Sorry for the random question but someone asked me that and it really stuck to me and I can't get an answer 😂 Help please! Thanks

Because they're named after the Earl of Sandwich (a place) who invented them

In Russian I would probably call any sandwitch a "booterbrod" (I know it's actually 'butterbrot" in German) even if it has no butter and with slices of bread on each side.

No, it is officially "sumuštinis" in Lithuania.

Not a direct answer to your question, but I just wanted to say I can't stand it when McDonalds or another major fast food place call any type of "hamburger" a "sandwich"!!! IT ISN'T a sandwich!
I think so, I live 15 minutes from Sandwich...
You two were fuckin' baked, weren't ya?
