What do you call drinks like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, etc?

I don't drink that stuff, but here in Michigan we call it "pop". When my relatives from Texas come here they're always like "wtf are you talking about, it's soda..."😂

  • I don't know 'drink' probably. I guess we use the name though, so someone will ask 'what you wanna drink' and we'll just be like, gimme a sprite or gimme some mountain dew.
A lot of folks though would order coke but actually mean some other drink but a lot of people call it soda too. I don't know. Va here so.

    • Actually we call them cokes! Lol

    • @Jaye234 Yes, that has absolutely no logical sense whatsoever, everything being a Coke, that's only in certain states I hear.

    • Yes only in Tenneesse and Alabama! I'm not sure about the rest of the south though. We tend to have slang that none of the other country knows what in the hell we're talking about! Lol
