You don't need to change who you are for someone else. Unless you've actually done something wrong or bad then yes you should change. But, becoming someone else, just for a guy? Don't. You don't have to change yourself. All you need to do is just be who you really are, then at the end, people will start coming to you and probably you'll found someone better there, in that crowd where someone actually likes you for who you are. Not who you are not.
The fact that we need to tell people this means that there's something wrong with the world that needs to be changed. (a rather disappointing notion, but true nonetheless) I've grown rather impatient by the lack of progress I've been seeing, but I'm still hoping for the best, and all we can do is make everything a little bit better by helping. (and for that I am grateful to you and others who are reminding people that we're simply human and that it's okay to make mistakes; it's part of growing up)

For someone else, true. But if you are with that person and you love someone and you tell them you wish they would stop smoking in a sensitive way or tell them to lose weight and help them out, it would be a positive change. In that case, it's false.
