Girls, why is it that a guy who is a craftsman, handyman, woodworker, instrument maker, or whatever so attractive compared to other work?

Just want to know why girls find it so intriguing or possibly 'hot' when a guy is capable of crafting materials or being a handyman, or a woodworker, or a luthier or any other type of job like that?

and what are some jobs that guys do that kind of gets you interested in him?

It's not at least to me and most gals I know. I base attractiveness on looks so for me a guy who is a craftsman is generally not as attractive as a guy who is a model.

and what are some jobs that guys do that kind of gets you interested in him?
For me modeling as my interest in based on the guy's physical attractiveness and I find most male models to be attractive.

Some gals want rough hands and some don't. The gals I know who want rough hands do so because they are insecure with their femininity so a guy's rougher hands makes her feel more feminine by seeing herself as softer. or it's because she likes the skin texture when he touches her.

wouldn't that hurt in some places and wouldn't it lead to scabs and peeling skin and everything?
Those are some of the reason for the gals who don't want rough hands.

is that still attractive anyways?
It's not attractive to me as I find rough hands tend to be calloused, bumpy, peeling, scarred, and have scabs.

They're might be a attraction to his masculinity. Maybe the idea of them sweating, the muscles, the creativity makes them more attractive. Also it draws attention to large hands which are attractive. Personally I love the way guys look in work boots or steel toe boots. The hand work makes us think they'll be good with our bodies. It also gives us a better perspective of his character.

Because those are manly jobs and women like manly men. My ex is an Electrician and I found that really sexy. My boyfriend now just works in retail, but that's all he can find right now while going to college. Also if guys are good fixing things around the house (which is what my boyfriend does), that's sexy too.

Because they are creative with their hands. You can see/touch/feel the object of the work of their hands.

Because women love a man with capable hands and being able to build and construct stuff is attractive and manly to women. I'm a handyman work on fridges, conditioners, cars all sorts of stuff women seem to like it.

Well, those are many jobs. And that will proves that guy is really able for the survival: as a protector and builder. One thing for sure, 'hotness' will depends. Example: if you don't look so handsome you won't be claimed as hot after all.
