Help me try and cope with my Girlfriend with PMDD?

OK here goes,
I love my girlfriend i really truly do.
we have been together 4 months now and its been great but this last week has been tough on both of us.
i know the relationship is still new and all but she gets really bad PMS and after this week she is going to the doctor to get checked out for PMDD after looking it up online she is convinced she has it and i have to agree.
now i have read up on this and i am trying to do everything i can to be supportive and caring for her i understand this is not just her being moody.
but its really tough for me she has not wanted to see me all week long and she has barely text me at all and if i text her its normally 30+ mins till i get a reply and this is just a huge shock to the system because we were always Nestorius text junkies.
im just having a very hard time not feeling depressed myself i feel like im loosing her and it hurts.
are these normal things that happen with PMDD or do you think she is just bored of me?
should i just ride it out... i really dont want to make this about me and give her more to dwell on when she is dealing with this.

I am going to blunt, but I am doing it out of care.

First thing. You need to deal with your insecurity. That sort of neediness turns off women without PMDD. PMDD added in the mix, you will not last. Sort that out no matter what.

If she indeed has PMDD:

She will need to be diligent in doing what is prescribed to handle it more effectively. There are medications and adjustments must be made to diet and exercise. It isn't a deal where she will go to the doctor, get some pills and all will be fine. It takes a long time for them to figure what works through trial and error. It can take years. And even then, it isn't a fix.

You will need to be prepared for her to disappear for one and sometimes even two weeks a month. She may not like you during those times. Push her to talk to you, and you are poking a hornets nest. She likely will say some stuff that will crush you. But the thing is, she doesn't actually mean it. It is the mental twist the hormones create talking. Let her have her time to go through it alone.

She likely may even break up with you during one of these phases. Back off, then see if she reaches out after her period comes and her hormone levels drop. That is when she is thinking clearly. Then is when you talk to her.

Never argue with her or try and be rational while she is in that premenstrual phase. Logic and reason in her head is warped. You will not fix it. If you are there when she is in a bad phase, let her vent, don't say much, take nothing personally, and try and find something else to do.

So, you need to figure out if you can do it. Women with severe forms of this have severe relationship issues for a damn good reason. Most men are too weak to handle it, and eventually walk away.

I have really bad PMDD not anything physical as such it's more a mental thing for me. My mood gets really bad sometimes that I can barely function and this is extremely difficult for me as I have two children to care for. My partner of 9 years understands and is very supportive but with saying that he really does struggle with me at this time. The best way to deal with it is give her some space during this time and if you are in one anothers company, do not take any offense if she snaps at you, I see PMDD as a monster that simply isn't me any other time of the month so this could be the case with your girlfriend as well if she does have PMDD. If she is otherwise fine at other points of her cycle then at least you both can have a piece of mind that it's just a hormonal thing. Most importantly you need to realise it isn't your fault and this is something she just doesn't have control over. Good luck to you both :)

you should just ride it out give her space and time but let her know how your always there and just be supportive by sending flowers and maybe a card letting her know how u feel and how she has nothing to worry about u will always be here for her just show how committed you are to the relationship and with being there threw everything maybe going to the appointments with her will show her more support or letting her stay with you until she gets better or go to her place and see how she's feeling

Yes just ride it out. I have pmdd and it's like living at the bottom of a black hole for a week or so sometimes two. You can't see any light or hope, it's so so awful. Don't take it personally she is going through hell. It will pass but it will come again soon enough.

I would feel much better about things if I knew I mean really knew she still loved me and is not ignoring me because she is tried of me.
