The responses I have gotten so far are interesting. I would have originally thought that they know they are and do not like to hear the truth. It is sad to think that they view all men the same way. I myself never treated any girl I was with like a slut.

I mean I have had wild sex, but that stays in the bedroom, kitchen, laundry room, etc. This girl said something when she was drunk and it freaked me out. I left her house and she ran outside after me in just her panties.

Well, I think that some girls tend to act like a slut because they want to stand out, have the guys stare at them, label them as "hot" or "sexy" and it shouldnt matter to them to either show off their boobs or even their ass. "To the hell with dignity. I just want that hottie to look at me and eye me". In their minds they just wanna feel sexy and the type of girls guys would be after.

I guess they get through that part but then when the guy treats them like a "slut" they fear it as thought they never thought something like that could happen or even as thought they didn't think it would end up like this. They begin to feel pitiful and low toward themselves and they began to back out. They don't understand which way they should now proceed because they are scared and have no way of making the guy understand. The behaviour from the other person frightens them and changes their perspective and how they have gotten this far with the idea of being a "slut".

I guess its all about self-assurance and how you carry yourself.

Well, back out as in now that they have you hooked or thought they had you hooked they DONT have to act like a slut anymore. They back out from their short term personality of being slutty. In sayin' they DONT want to be a slut anymore. They want to now open up to you in a different way that's may really be them. In any other case, they might back out from the whole scenario. They might not even want to cross the road with the "slutty behavior".

Basically men only want a slutty girl for sex or maybe as a friend with benefits but never as a actual girlfriend. And some girls know this and still act slutty and get upset when men don't treat them with respect!

Haha being in the Navy I see and deal with girls like this all the time. I think it's because they hate being reminded of who they really are. There was a girl that I went to school with after boot camp that had 3 trains run on her. She screwed every guy she could. This wasn't a rumor either because she'd brag about it to everyone that would listen.

One day she said,"I'm bored with Navy guys, I think I'll move on to Marines. " And I looked at her and told her that I think she needs to slow the hell down. She gave me a really shocked look, gasped, and said,"Oh my God, you think I'm a slut?! " I gave her the honest answer and said that that's what everybody thought and that she needs to have a lot more respect for herself. She got all pissy but then respected me for being honest with her.

I guess nobody likes to see the ugly truth about themselves, even when they expose it to everybody else.

I'm sure that the girls you are describing have no idea they are acting slutty. Maybe they think they are being flirty or fun

they are probably just seeking some attention

I would assume they are mad because they aren't getting the attention they really want

we all (humans) want to be respected despite our behavior or appearance

I guess some could just be having some harmless fun

Sluts are f***ed in the head man, don't even think about it. I've never met a slut who didn't have a laundry list of issues that manifest themselves in extremely strange ways. All I can say is this: girls who act slutty are doing it for a reason, generally insecurity in combination with a f***ed up view of sexuality. Use 'em and move on, that's what they expect so that's how they model their behavior. One of the biggest relationship mistakes was trying to seriously date a slut who told me she'd changed, etc etc, but when it got down to it she just wanted to f*** and said and did whatever she thought would help keep me around because I helped soothe her own internal pain. Go for the good girls.

If you think these girls have mental or emotional problems, do you really think it helps to use them for your own selfish sexual gratification and then dump them so they feel trashier than ever? You see that is my problem. I agree with Anaskathia, but in Anonymous's defense I'd have to say that these girls usually will hurt you if you are nice to them. It seems as though they like the abuse. I would think deep down they really want someone to love them, but they are so confused they don't know what that is anymore. It's all based around sex. A good guy may love sex, but also wants more. When you are nice to these girls they look at you as though you are weak.

I've never hurt a "slut" in my life unless you count breaking up with them, but I've been burned more times than I care to remember. I spent a lot of my dating life getting used by sluts until I caught on that I was just playing rich Daddy to an emotionally damaged girl while they expected my infinite forgiveness for their slutty actions (cheating, etc). Say what you will, but this cowboy isn't going to bother getting in the ring with another heart breaker.

A dear friend of mine was used by A slutty Girl. the biggest mistake was for him trying to validate their relationship. He finally caught on... thank goodness. I don't get it though. ... why do a lot of guys allow chickS like this to take advantage? Low self esteem? It has nothing to do with them being insecure. Even more so a girl would be less likely to act slutty if she was insecure. And no it's not about reminding them who they really are. The only problem is a lack of morals. Nobody told some girls they shouldn't behave this way as they were growing up and it just kind of became who they are. They don't even realize that they are being slutty based on their moral principles. So when you treat them like a slut they see you as the one with a lack of morals, not themselves. How they act is perfectly fine in their mind. How you act is another story entirely though.

The girls that act like that tend to be more insecure about themselves and they don't find themselves good-looking. They want attention, true, but mostly they just want someone to tell them that they're beautiful. When they get the wrong kind of attention, which is what they're going to get most of the time dressing like that, they feel violated, outraged and disgusted. It's not necessarily that they're a slut.

I agree. They also can't seem to fathom as to why the can't obtain and MAINTAIN a healthy substantial relationship because so much emphasis is based on fantasy. And besides, acting like this gets old.
