Oh, I meant it the last time I said it. I never want to see my ex again. If your emotions are getting in the way of your rationale and you have the slightest interest that you may want to continue communication, best just to walk away and give yourself 24 hrs Before you say something you don't mean.
I just let them have their space. They can contact me when/if they want. I may try again in a day or two (maybe more, depending on the situation) but I won't push it.
I have one ex friend that I haven't talked to in years.
I'll let them make the first move. Call their bluff. Then I can be like "oooo I thought you weren't going to talk to me :p"

I just grant their wish, and don't talk to them again. I don't owe them, and I'm not responsible if they can't manage their anger.
I wouldn't wait. I don't care if she/he doesn't want to speak to me anymore, then go away.
