Why do girls look down when they see me?

I have notice that a lot of girls when i walk past them instantly look down. Regardless of weather I was looking at them first or not. Why do the majority of girls look down as they walk passed me am I somehow scaring them? It happens too often to be coincidence and about 50-70 percent of girls do this as i walk by why?

I don't think i have seen another guy do this and i doubt every girl i see thinks I'm hot i do think i might look a little intimidating because I'm really tall but i i don't feel like i don't have a mean demeanor

I'm a fairly confident 34 y/o women who isn't at all afraid to talk to strangers but if we make eye contact in passing I'm gonna look away. A lot of women do BUT not all avoided glances are the same. I noticed this a few weeks ago and have been analyzing it. If a guy is attractive to me when I look down I will smile and look up again. If a guy is neutral then after a moment I'm back to business as usual and if I am repelled by a guy ( I work in a male dominated industry with a lot of creepers), I will keep looking down until I'm a safe distance away and then reestablish eye contact with out smiling eyes. So look beyond the downward glance my friend.

i rarely stare stare at girls unless they are looking first and they still look down

Maybe it's because you're really attractive and they are looking at you or staring and you look at them so they look away. It could also be that they sent really paying attention and kinda start staring and you catch them off guard?

Women are taught not to make eye contact with men they don't know in public so as to not provoke them into any kind of aggression. They're not afraid of you in particular. We have been taught to fear strange men in general.

This happens to me a lot too. Girls will either turn their head the other way or look down. I heard its because girls are intimidated by eye contact.

Are you staring at them. Looking away when you make eye contact can sometime be a sign of attraction.

sometimes i am staring we make eye contact smile and look down sometimes I'm not staring and they still look down

I look down when I walk by almost anyone because I feel awkward making eye contact with strangers, especially if the guy is hot!
