What are some signs of disinterest in a girl while texting?

What are some types of responses she'd give if she did not want to text you anymore and end the conversation? I know that short, quick responses mean that she is trying to end it, but are there other ones?

Short responses could mean that she wants you to ask her what's wrong. Or, she could be busy. Honestly, if she's disinterested, she probably won't respond often or at all. She might always have to go, or she won't put effort into the conversation (responding with emojis or just lol). Try asking her questions about herself. Getting someone to tell you about themselves is a good way to keep a conversation going.

But what if she converses to due to pity for me? lol i know that is a little drastic, but it is something I think about.

That is a possibility. If you really think that is so, then you should avoid trying to force her into conversation. If she does not contribute, never texts you first, or does not talk to you much in person, then she probably does not desire to text you. If she is doing one or more of those, then I believe it indicates an interest in you or getting to know you.

Well just today, for example, I was walking in the hallway and she was talking to some friends and then they dispersed and she kind of waited for me so we can walk and talk little before she had to go to class. So it's not like she ignores me in person. We seem to have a good relationship in person

I hope I don't glorify these encounters with her lol. But yeah I get what you're saying. She doesn't run away from me or avoid me so there' that.

responses like only saying "lol, sure, ok, fine," So short replies but normally some will take forever to reply or not reply at all. Plus you get the feeling like your having to drag the conversation on. Plus the other person won't try to add to the conversation.

Responding like an hour later can mean she is busy too, but I'd understand if it is a repetitive pattern. The girl I am thinking of right now has such an odd pattern of time intervals of responding that I just ignore it now, but sometimes it just gets to me how long it takes her to respond (recently she took 1 hour to respond then respoded within 5 min and another time she never answered my "what's up").

We could both list a lot of excuses lol there's no worth in that. I really want to know what distracts her from her phone because she seems to do that. I've seen her flip her phone over so you couldn't see the screen while we were getting dinner at some place with friends, but I don't know if that was her table manners or just something she does.

I don't know I guess I feel like that is too weird to ask. Like too clingy: "Why aren't you answering my texts faster? What could you do that is more important than me?" lol that's a little bit of exaggeration.

No just ask that you feel like she's not interesting in talking to you and you want to know if that's true.
