so , I've been working with this girl for a long time, about a year but still that's pretty long. Anyway we're pretty good friends, & a lot of the time I would say she acts like she likes me as more than friends, and naturally after somebody acting like that for as long as she has, I've caught feelings for her, but it seems like everytime I say something that alludes to me liking her, she just kind of goes unresponsive and makes me feel weird about saying it so I always just drop it. I haven't worked since the night of June 4th, early the next morning, I suffered a minor heart attack, even though at the time I was only 20, I turned 21 on June 8th. during this whole time I've been off, I haven't talked to my crush, the last time I talked to her until tonight was the night of June 5th, just telling her what had happened to me. she messaged me tonight and was asking why I didn't message her, I guess she's missed me lol JK, I've been in really bad pain so I've not really felt like talking to anybody. then she tells me she got me a birthday present, and I'm right back to thinking she likes me. Because I wouldn't get a girl a gift if we were just friends, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't get a guy a gift if they were just friends, but what the hell do I know? it feels like she might but I'm confused as hell.

I think she likes me, but every time I kinda try and hit towards me liking her she messages me really kind of cold, one worded messages. I wouldn't get somebody who's just friends a gift, so would she? is that standard etiquette? I'm so damn confused.
