Girls, Why did this girl give me a weird look?

I was going to class and I realized that I was 20 minutes early so I decided to take a seat on the window sill which is outside my class. I figured I might as well check my phone before I go to class. There were 2 girls near where I sat, the first was kinda cute but she was texting the second was average looking. The average looking girl gave me this disapproving look like I did something wrong.

This is the second time I have received such a look. The first time, I was at the mall and needed to check a receipt so I sat down and took it out of my pocket. Across from me was sitting a cute girl and she gave me the look before I took out the receipt.

Is that the girls look for "Don't flirt with me"?
I have trouble as it is talking to girls due to my lack of confidence, do I also have to put up with this now?

Ah that's the girls' look for "I'm better than you." They give other girls this look too so don't take it personally. She could think you're cute herself but convinced herself she's out of your league. Insecure people do this and that's why her cute friend didn't feel the need to.

Just ignore them like you couldn't care less about their childish "looks." If you're minding your own business like you say you are, then that girl is someone that hasn't grown up.
