Shy girls, please help! Does this shy girl like me?

She started at my office a week ago.

Are these signs or am I overthinking?

1. She's shy generally. And she is to me too but to me she seems to have some warmth also. She talks very businesslike to other people. But when I initiate conversation with her (she never initiates) her voice goes all soft and high

2. She doesn't smile to other people. But a few days ago I realized I was accidentally doing a task she was already doing. We both kinda realized at the same time. And we both smiled and laughed while looking at each other. Her laugh was shy

3. Yesterday I had to get behind her in a tight door way and she said sorry nervously but just stayed there. Then after I got past she then pointlessly moved out of the way. It was like I had frozen her

4. Today the same kind of thing happened. But this time with us facing each other. She said sorry and laughed nervously and then just stood there frozen. After a few secs she moved out of the way

5. Today as I came into the office she stared at me for like 20 secs with a concentrating look on her face

6. When I stare at her (i like her lol) she doesn't respond. She doesn't bother to look up at me to wonder why I'm staring which would be normal for a shy girl or any girl right?

7. Today we were seated next to each other for a group meeting. She started playing with her manicured fingernail painted fingers. She knew I was looking but she kept on doing it. Maybe she did it just cause she was bored but she is too shy to be rude like that

8. In the same meeting she bent down her head to take notes and her long hair (not just a little but a lot) rested on my bare arm. She didn't mind and kept it there. I moved my arm away but she must have known I liked it because I didn't move for a while. Later she took more notes and again rested a lot of hair on my arm. This time I didn't move. Isn't it weird she wouldn't be bothered especially since she is shy?

And today she looked at me, but when I looked at her looking at me, she quickly moved her eyes and even her face away.

Later I told her I thought her hair looked nice and she gave no response. Not even a face expression. But she did look down like she was embarrassed.

2 it was a funny moment, obviously she felt like smiling. Doesn't really mean anything.

5 she might have daydreamed or really thought really hard about some task that she didn't even notice she was staring at you. You even said she looked concentrated. Doesn't really mean anything.
6 if she's not looking at you, how is she supposed to know you're staring? And why would she stare back? That's just awkward.
7 if she is shy she might also have some social anxiety, and gets anxious in big groups. Playing with her nails might have helped calm her down. Or she was just bored and thought nobody would notice or care.
8 we can't actually feel our own hair. We don't know if it touches anyone else accidentally. My hair is long and I've accidentally rested it on other people without realizing it or meaning anything by it. She probably just didn't realize, even when you moved your hand away. Again, we can't feel shit with our hair unless you actually TUG at it lol.

She's just shy and awkward, you're reading too much into things. Those are signs of her being shy or not noticing you.

I've been shy for most of my life and it sounds like she likes you! At the very least seems like she's comfortable with you. The no eye contact thing is normal for a shy person and especially when it someone that one likes. I once had someone stare at me like that and I couldn't stare directly back until they weren't looking, lol. Sounds like she likes you but because she is shy if you like her back (which is awesome) you would be very gentle and slow, 'friendshipy'. Shy people get embarrassed easily and can be awkward sometimes but as long you don't put big a deal on it. The embarrassment and awkwardness will pass and hopefully over time she will become more comfortable with you.

She sounds almost like me. She is just insecure possibly because she hasn't had many guys hit on her (at least for a while) so she doesn't know how to respond.

As much as a girl is shy, we don't like guessing, specially when our own shyness is an obstacle. Be proactive! Smile at her! You have no idea how much the warmth of a smile lights up our day! Ask her if you can help her with a thing or two. Try to make her laugh, different from joking with each other. Tbh, when a guy jokes with me I don't know what to say so I much prefer one thought jokes (usually a one ended complete thought). Overall, make her comfortable.

Tip: Cockiness and too much confidence will be a deal breaker partly because of our own insecurities.

yeah! This is so cute. hehe. Try to approach SLOWLY not to overwhelm her. Patience is the key my friend. Invite her too lunch or help her with stuff wherever your situation is. However since she is shy she doesn't know that her actions makes you feel this way. She is conscious of you for sure doesn't know how to react whenever with you (no facial exp, nervous talk). Make a move first if you like her coz she definitely won't! ;)

Wow at first I was gonna say you're friendzoned because usually when I warm up I see the guy as a friend. I'm usually terrified to even talk to my crush.

Hmmm seems likea sign she likes you by being all frozen around you.

The hair falling she may have not noticed because you can't feel what your hair touches.
I do the nail thing a lot esp in class because I'm nervous and don't know really what to do in group settings

I'm not sure why she didn't even say thank you! Maybe it has to do with her shyness and she probably thought you were joking. Whenever I get compliments I say Thank You with a fake smile and roll my eyes because Ifeel like tthey're lying! Later I'll go home wondering why the person said that because it can't be true.

I think as far as a shy girl goes those are pretty solid signs of interest. You should definitely show her you're interested, and she'll open up a lot more easily. Maybe invite her out for coffee or make a point to have conversation with her every day.

dude im not shy but she's into you. Ask her stuff like "what are you doing?" or "what do you have for lunch?" just stuff like that. Get close to the un-shy her. behind every shy girl is a normal one who wants things too. Be outgoing towards her! when you guys get close, ask her out for coffee or ice cream or something

I would say there is a good chance she likes you :) I know I behave this way a lot around the guys I'm interested in. Maybe you should try initiating conversation with her more often & she'll eventually be more comfortable around you :) Good luck & it sounds like she's interested too but make sure to keep it professional because you both work together & it can possibly be awkward in the distant future

Coming from a shy girl, I think she likes you but just gets super nervous around you and sometimes she feels comfortable around you. Do the first move and ask her out, you never know she probably is dying for you to.

She probably knows that you like her, and she's tryng to figure out whether or not she likes you too. she's testing you to see how you will react and whether or not you will make a move.

make a small move and start to talk to her more. right now she might just be curious, but she wants to get to know you better. if she's as shy as you've described her then she won't want to initiate anything herself, she will leave it up to you.
