Why do some girls like putting makeup on their boyfriend's face?

Question

My girlfriend wanted to put some makeup on my face. I found it weird but was a bit curious to see the result. I agreed and she got extremely excited, like a kid on Christmas day or at his first trip to Disneyland, it was funny haha.

So, what's up with that? To any girl who did it or wanted to do it to their boyfriends, why did you want to do it?
To the guys, what do you think of it (whether you've let your girl do it or not) ?

I really don't know how to explain it, but I think it is funny because usually guys go out of their way to look cool and manly and stuff and refuse to wear anything that has to do with girls, and they get embarrassed if they use girlie stuff. One of my cousins even gets angry if I put a wig on his hair. Not many girls, on the other hand, mind wearing manly clothes. So it is funny when you change a manly guy to a pretty princess. xD

It's something those of us who are excited by the prospect probably do everyday.
So we obviously enjoy it.
I think there's also a little something exciting about putting makeup on guys as they don't usually wear any.

But the main reason is Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean

It's fun and different. And I like a guy more when he's open for anything and not so up tight. Now that you reminded me. :) I'll ask my boyfriend to let me do his make up. And then he can do mine ☺️☺️☺️

Because they like that you show interest in what is a part of their life. How would you feel if your girlfriend asked you to show her about Star Wars or something. They also like that you are spending time together. It's an excellent time to bond.

I did it on @genericname85 's face one day haha! I wanted to do it because I thought it was gonna be fun, trying to transform him into a pretty girl lol we even tried different looks. Cutesy look and sexy look. What turned out out of those 2 were slutty drag queen look haha!

The idea haven't ever crossed my mind but I have done my brothers' hair a few times. There's just this kind of belonging feeling I suppose if it happened in a relationship, as if she felt you to be hers so she really just wanted to do what ever crossed her mind with you, which is lovely.

I let my girlfriend a long time ago do it once and she dolled me up pretty good. Smokey eyes, fake lashes, heavy blush and really cherry red glossy lipstick. We both laughed so hard. I got ballsy and told her let's take it up a step further and go out to dinner like this. She laughed really hard and super dared me. She should know better not to DARE me. So we went to a elegant steak and seafood restaurant. The reactions were great from smiles, to laughs, to weird looks and to no reaction whatsoever. I told my girl to keep a straight face and don't laugh at me and pretend this is a normal thing. The beautiful waitress kept smiling, but my girlfriend wasn't jealous because she knew exactly what she was smiling at. It was comical seeing me get red lipstick prints on the wine glass LOL

It's just funny to see guys all dolled up and wearing makeup, plus most guys find it embarrassing so if you let her put makeup on you, it's in a way showing her you feel comfortable around her and want to make her happy.
