She takes a long time to respond... but puts effort into her messages?

I'm just a little confused at the moment. I've kind of seen this girl on my Facebook for a good while now and always fancied talking to her and getting to know her, and after she posted a status a few nights ago about a topic I could talk forever about, we got talking there and then I used it as a conversation starter when messaging.

The thing I've noticed about her is that she seems interested in talking, most of the time replying with detailed messages on whatever we're talking about and we've asked each other questions and just generally I think she seems a really lovely girl. But I'm not too sure if she's interested in me. I asked a question on here last night regarding her detailed messages and people said if she is giving detailed messages then it's more than likely that she is interested. But the issue is that she seems to take a while to reply.

I'm not purposly checking up on her, but I've been on my laptop for a few days now as I don't have a phone after it was stolen. So whenever I'm on Facebook, it always shows at the side who's online etc, and I noticed her online every few hours yet no reply.. but she did then reply in the evening but even then she took around 20 - 30 minutes to reply. I know she's probably busy with other commitments but I'm confused. The detailed messages seem to hint she is interested, but the slow replies seem to contradict that to me. Makes me feel like perhaps she doesn't want to talk to me?

Any ideas?

It really depends on the person... Sorry if that's not what you want to hear but its true!
The reason of the late replies is probarbly just cause she's busy... Honestly if a guy seems intrested in speaking to you its an instant turn on for me and most other girls as far as im concerned. Why not ask her if your bothering her with the messages but kind of in a joking way? That way you'll know but won't come on too strong?
Personally if I like a guy i try not to respond instantly so i don't seem too sesperate so that might be the case...
Or the harsh truth is that she might just not be intrested... But you seem like a nice guy to actually care about something like this! Most people dont so i'd say its probs just that she has other priorites!

note:If you think that she likes you ask her out because trust me most girls won't really have the courage to ask a guy out. So if you dont she'll most likely think you don't like her and lose intrest...

Thanks :P Well don't worry about the harsh realities of your answer because I know everyone is different. I'm just not sure what she's thinking and wish I did. I mean we've only been talking on Facebook for a few days so I might try things little longer before asking her out though :P

There are 3 possibilities. She could either be busy, not interested*not likely the case*, or she actually likes you and she doesn't not want to answer instantly to seem desperate and she wants to make sure her messages does not have any mistakes in them and spends a long time reviewing her messages before sending them.

Some people who like a person wait a while before responding, so she won't seem like she's constantly waiting for your response. It's either that, or she actually has commitments. Don't analyze the situation too much, though. Ask her out if you like her back!
