There's this girl I know, I like her. However, she is pretty hard to read. Is she giving me the cold shoulder or just shy because she's interested?
- I always have to initiate conversation, whether online or off, with her, but she does help with carrying the conversation once it has started. (I'm pretty introverted and quiet myself but conversation does flow pretty well between us once it has been initiated)
- almost always gives thoughtful and lengthy responses, both online and off.
- she's generally pretty quiet/shy, but is even moreso around/towards me - though is pretty loud/animated around her close friends.
- if sitting across from but facing me, she'll stare or glance, blankly (I think), at me.
- she'll often choose to sit or stand next to me within our group of friends when hanging out.
- if sitting next to me, she'll talk to everyone but me (unless I talk to her).
- can stand really close to her without her moving/backing away from me.
- she seems OK with me physically touching her, but doesn't initiate physical contact with me unless it's accidental.
Also, would asking this girl out via a Facebook message be a good idea or would that be too weird? I never get the chance to ask her out in person (else I'd prefer that) and if I ask her to talk to her alone when hanging out, it may freak her out.
