Why do women like, "The Weeknd", so much?

Question

Here's two songs to familiarize yourself if you don't know who he is:

 

Okay, now that we got that out of the way, it's obvious The Weeknd only cares about these things:
-Doing every drug imaginable.
-Having sex with and using as many women as possible.
-Having the weirdest, nastiest looking haircut possible.
-Warning women to stay away from him while asking them to sleep with him.

YET, women still want to jump his bones, at least according to his music. However, why? Isn't this the exact kind of thing that makes women turned off from guys? Openly admitting they're just using you for sex, doing all types of drugs (often), not being clean, etc? Then why do girls still sleep with him or say they want to sleep with him? Is it just because of the fame or musical talent? Or do these women just not care about any negative things when they pick a partner?

I got inspiration to ask after reading this and it got me thinking:

The same thing can be said about Drake and a crap ton of other artists. "Billie Jean" is like the ground work for most of The Weeknds catalog. It's just the Rock/Rap star mentality. It's been around for years. The Weeknd is just more bold and honest with it. He talks about the drugs and sex without putting it into family friendly code like hundreds of other musicians have been doing for decades. I mean the Beatles have some many songs about drugs it's ridiculous. He also adds in elements of blues which have long been filled with their love hate relationship with sex and relationships. His personality is nothing new it's his execution that's making the difference. It's the blues if the blues was dressed in pop and injected with a little 21st century. He's attractive because he's a musician. I could give you a list of Rock Bands, Blues groups, jazz ensembles that all talk about the same kind of lifestyle that have fans for days. At the heart of it all people value honesty even when being honest means telling people you do drugs to numb the pain and can't find a good enough reason to love.

I like The Weeknd for his voice and the beats, and I find his lyrics to be raw and sad. He projects a sense of apathy and self-destructiveness that is telling. He has many women, drugs, money, and a lavish lifestyle a lot of people dream of, but he seems miserable and bored with it all.

None of that means I want to sleep with him, though. He's not my type, and I'd be more inclined to suggest he see a therapist.

Why do some women want to? I could ask why some men want to have sex with Miley Cyrus too. Or pornstars. Should I take those people as a model for how to behave to be what men want in a partner? Twerk, act foolishly, and be very promiscuous?

Anyone who's a celebrity, and especially a famous music artist, will have a following of people who like them for their fame, are obsessed with their music and lifestyle, put them on a pedestal, etc. They're groupies. It only makes sense that at that point sleeping with them is the least of what they'll do. I wouldn't take is so seriously, or as a reflection of what women want in a partner.

I don't know anything about jumping his bones but if they do it's because he's famous it's as simple as that. And you have to realize the fact that these are just songs/lyrics it doesn't mean it's true or that he even wrote it. It just means that it's the kind of songs his fans enjoy. Why? Now that's a different story.

I actually just went to one of his concerts and I'm not a die hard fan but I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to go to a free concert. He's somewhat attractive but he's not gorgeous and he has that stupid hair style.

Other than his voice he's not that special and believe it or not every seat wasn't taken at the concert but there was still a pretty good amount but what shocked me was the fact that you saw about 10 black people including myself and pretty much everyone else was white. Maybe there were a few Hispanics. He's not that well liked at least not by my community he went to mainstream.

I love his song Hills, and In the Night, I also like Can't Feel my Face but its played too long. But yeah, my favorite is in the Night, its not as popular.
But his song 'High for This' is about drugging a girl, and my fav of his 'In the Night' is about a young girl being raped and his song 'Hills' is about his side-chick? I'm absolutely disgusted by the meaning behind his songs. I mean, wtf, is he some kind of rapist? I love the beat and rhythm but I mean really... His personality is shit, his songs (not including lyrics) are amazing in my opinion.

Well, forget The Weeknd I don't think their music is that great. But think of other bands in the past, musically superior rock bands like Def Leppard or Guns n Roses or Led Zeppelin. Or, a more modern band, Arctic Monkeys. The girls were crazy about the guys in those bands as well and they also had lots of sex/did drugs. It's a "fangirling" thing, girls don't look for those traits in actual potential partners. They're just attracted to the talent and fame. About The Weeknd though, I really don't know what they're attracted to...

I fucking love the Weeknd. It's so weird he sings about the worse things, and had the dirtiest songs. But yet his voice is so soft and beautiful. I find him pretty attractive too even though his hair looks like a pineapple
