Girls, Why Do You Take So Long to Shower?

I'm just genuinely curious. What exactly do you do in the shower and why does it take so long?

Living in a house with female relatives, it is very inconvenient whenever I need the bathroom. They'll commonly take close to 2 hours in the shower alone, and that's not even counting the amount of time it takes for them to get all of their stuff in the bathroom and do whatever it is they do before getting in, which takes like another hour. By the time I can finally get in, there will literally be no hot water left at all.

Fortunately I get back at them by using their fancy shampoos and bodywashes :)

I usually don't stay in the shower for too long. I stay in there long enough to wash my hair, shave, and wash my body, and then I will get out and brush my teeth, comb my hair, and get dressed. If I decide to wear makeup and fix my hair that day I usually do it in my bedroom.
But, having lived with other females myself, they do tend to take forever. My pet peeve was always when one person would use up every drop of hot water in the house. How can you be in the shower for so long that you use up every bit of hot water? I also lived with some extremely picky ones who were almost dominant over the bathroom, and it was borderline freaky.

I'm in the shower for an hour tops, and a good half of it is shampooing and conditioning my hair (which takes a while because it's quite thick and hits my waist), shaving, and washing everywhere else too, the other half is literally me just standing under the water and relaxing, or getting lost in my thoughts which happens waaay too much.

We have to shave like 60% of our body, conditioner needs to be left to soak into long hair for a long time, usually we exfoliate our heels, maybe do a hair mask after the conditioner because long hair is high maintenance... then you have to wait for THAT to absorb into your hair. ... then sometimes you get distracted and daydream, come up with political arguments, sing a song that's stuck in your head, see how precisely you can spit water at a certain tile I don't know random shit. ... also uhh waterproof vibrators are a thing and you can't hear them over the water so you never know.

Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Moisturizers, Shaving our armpits, Shaving our legs, (some girls shave their arms), and after the shower: Deciding what to wear, Drying our hair, (some girls curl their hair after it's dry), Makeup, Eyeliner (it is SO hard to get our winged eyeliner perfect and even on both sides), making sure we have everything ready. I might've forgotten stuff to put there but oh well

Let's see... lots of steps (shampooing my very long hair, conditioner, feminine wash, body wash/exfoliate, pumice stone, shave anything, baby oil and face masks or blackhead extraction afterwards sometimes) and sometimes it gets so toasty and comfortable in there I get too lazy to stop? lol

Max 20 minutes, shampoo, conditioner, exfoliate, wash from head to toes, make sure all the little bits of sticky goo from sugaring (hair removal kinda like wax) get washed all off; he doesn't like it if we get stuck together!! Evidently he wants to keep all his body hair, me get rid of all of it, I really don't have a lot to get rid of anyway!
Now, if I shower with my hunny, we always end up at least an hour! We have fun getting really clean though! = }

Well, I have naturally curly hair, so a lot of my time is spent on my hair care routine. Then I have my skin care routine (which can vary from 3-20 minutes depending on what I'm doing that day), shaving (you'd be surprised at how long this takes just because I have to shave *everything*), obviously the actual shower takes more time because I have more hair to take care of. Then if I'm in for any longer its because I have to tidy up my eyebrows or do my hair and makeup

Some women exfoliate their skin to make their skin smoother. Not to mention women actually wash their entire body (including legs) which I KNOW you men ignore from time to time.,

We have to wash our bodies, hair, shave our legs, underarms and sometimes intimate areas. Then we have to condition our hair. These things take time. Personally, I take 20 minutes at most. But you gotta realise we wanna look good 😊

(a) we have LONGER hair, FYI (b) i personally like to RELAX in the shower, and (c) we, as u realise, use all those body gels and stuff most times, and when we get out we have to wrap our hair up and stuff first before we dry off #thestruggle

Two hours is ridiculous. I am in the shower for ten minutes. My sister takes about twenty, but if she is relaxing in the bathtub, then she takes her time.

A long shower is like 30 min for me. That's using two kinds of shampoo, conditioner and shaving. I have literally no idea.

Then again, my hair is not quite shoulder length.
