Back in the day I was the typical arrogant jock. We were dating for about six months and things were fizzling out. We had a big fight at a party and she stormed outside, I went out after her forty minutes later and a few beers after to find her being consoled by her nerdy whimpy next door neighbour who was like friendzoned for life, I got angry and blew up asking what the hell he doing with my girl and gave him a beat down ( not that he had a chance I just wanted someone to beat up). My girl waa screaming and crying for me to stop calling me all kinds of swear words. I went to leave and she was helping him up and apologising, I stood by the door of the car and her "im leaving, get your fat ass in the car!" She paused for a moment like she was going to say no but turned to the nerdy neighbour and said " im hoing to go with him". We fucked twice that night on my back seat and she was more turned on than she had been in a long time. The relationship lasted another year and everytime it got stale I started some shit. Best time of my life. I heard she married that nerdy neighbour guy after her husband left her and the kids and has gotten really fat. In conclusion women love a cocky arrogant bastard of a guy who creates drama.

To me there's somewhat of an elusive quality there. People are attracted to those who are hard to get or hard to keep.

Especially for attractive women, they get male attention all day long. Those kinds of bad boy types give off the appearance that they're not going to stick around, suddenly posing a challenge when there otherwise wouldn't be any.

Nice guys tend to be as desperate as they are nice. They don't really pose much of a challenge -- girls usually don't like loyal puppy dogs so much as hungry wolves. They also typically haven't been with enough women and/or long enough to really understand how to be assertive yet attentive in the bedroom.

I've even found it useful in personal relationships to deliberately be a little selfish, to give off the appearance a bit of a free-spirited person (even though it doesn't come naturally), to not shower the girl with gifts and attention.

It helps kind of paint the illusion that the girl is "lucky" that I'm staying with her, and to have her pursue me a little bit. I know that mind games are somewhat childish in nature, but I still continue this even in marriage a bit and a lot of my friends consider my wife and I to be incredibly close considering how long we've been together.

I owe it in part to that strategy, of constantly appearing like my "leash" is about to break, that I can't quite be controlled. I'm far from the bad boy, but I think you have to be independent and somewhat hard to catch always, to avoid being taken for granted.

We don’t want a guy that’s horrible and treats us like shit unless we think that’s what we deserve (women reading this, trust me. you deserve better). I personally like the “bad guys” that aren’t so friendly to everyone but me, but I think that’s based on my low self esteem lmao. I HATE bad boys. A woman will go through a phase in her late teens, early 20's where she's all about the bad boy. It think it's a natural progression towards maturity. Just like how guys try to go for the hottest chick thinking she's going to treat them really well, and placing no value on her character. With bad boys, once you get burned by them, used for sex, treated like crap, you realize they're not worth it. Most women grow out of this phase, and as they get older, seek the nice guys.
