One thing I've found, the word unapproachable is almost always used to describe introverted women, but only if they're attractive. I recently spent awhile trying to get a girl who was considered unapproachable: she was not very expressive and her face was a blank slate, she lacked eye contact, looked bored, and didn't really engage herself or give any indication that she was enjoying talking to me. I took her lack of feedback and eye contact a little personally at first, like she thought she was just to good to engage in conversation. She ended up warming up a lot and clearly was attracted, but I still ultimately failed.
