Why do girls say they like funny guys when in reality if they like a guy they will find him funny no matter what?

Its kind of contradicting. I can speak from first hand experience and I think many guys can relate to this too. If a girl likes a guy she will laugh even at his lamest stupidest jokes. Its also one of the signs that girl likes a guy (inb4 some say that it doesn't apply to her it still does to a lot) that she will find his jokes funny no matter how lame they are. On the contrary a guy can be truly funny but if she doesn't like him she's not going to care. So its not that girls like funny guys but rather girl finds a guy funny because she likes him.

Dang this is a really good point & question! :) I personally laugh at jokes no matter if I like the guy or not because I find the joke funny. I see your point on how it's contradicting. There are girls who will laugh at a guy's joke even more so because they like him, even if they are lame jokes. However, there are girls who will laugh at a guys jokes if they don't like him. But not every guy is funny & some girls may not even like guys who are funny. Humor I think is just another quality that comes off as charming to women & makes the guy stand out more than others.

Well of course if the joke is really funny you will laugh at it even if you dont like a guy. Its natural for people to laugh at something they genuinely find funny. But then again just because a guy is funny doesn't mean you like him right? However when a girl likes a guy she often laughs even at some lamest things he says. Of course it doesn't apply to every girl but it does to many. I myself am not a funniest guy but in many cases when some girl liked me she would laugh at even some stupidest things I've said. And its also one of the signs that a girl likes a guy if she finds him more funny than he really is.

Yeah true, just because a guy is funny doesn't mean I like him. And yes sometimes when a girl likes a guy she will laugh at all his jokes, which is can be one indication that she likes him. :)
