Girls, was I right to beat my cousin up for perving on me? What else could I have done?

Last week, my cousin visited us, and I was quite excited as I had not seen him since we were kids. Things got weird, as we were teens now, and one night he even tried to kiss me! I started avoiding being alone with him, and kept my sister close but I didn't want to tell my mum or aunt. Since then he began giving me angry looks and scowling.
I had thought maybe after they left things would get back to normal. But one day, we went for a swim and I decided to shower first, and as the door was unlocked (I live alone with my younger sister and mother), he walked right in and stared at me, smiling. I yelled at him to get out but he didn't care, so I grabbed my towel and ran into my room crying. I tried to tell this to my sister, but he came in suddenly and started apologizing. He ignored my yells for him to get out of my room, so I punched him. He got angry and started pulling my hair and pinning me against the wall, and I screamed for her to get my aunt from downstairs.
She was taking a very long time, so I took matters into my own hands and started fighting back. I gained the upper hand by biting him on his hand and kicking at him until he fell down, and my aunt came up in time to see me do it (Apparently a few of those kicks hit him in his balls, he threw up awhile later)
They believed him walking in was purely an accident, and he was defending himself from me. Right now they are still unaware of what happened before this incident, and I did not tell them as I did flirt with him a little by accident.
What should I have done instead? And while he is younger than me he is bigger and had my arms pinned, I had no other option but to kick at his legs (and unfortunately, at his organs in that general region. My aunt is still pissed because apparently he might now have some problems in his future because I gave him a "major testicular injury", or something like that)

You shouldn't be concerned with the well-being of his testicles, he should have been, before he attacked you.

The problem is not with you, it's with the other women not doing that. If we all did that when we were attacked, or some other move that causes pain and injury, men would know it's better off not to try it.

If your cousin knew you would be aiming for his groin, he would probably opted not to attack you rather than to risk his babymakers. If hitting back and hitting hard was the norm, he would have known it and there was no harm for anyone.

I hope there isn't a next time. In fact, I swore never to do it again. He now suffers from a hormonal imbalance, and will have difficulty making babies because his reproductive system was damaged.

He's a dirty pig and you did the right thing. I would have reacted the same way. However, I would tell your family what happened before. As for his sore balls, serves him right. You don't go around perving on anyone, let alone family.

I would still tell them the whole story regardless of whether you think they will blame you because it gives some weight to your actions. As to your cousin's injury, that is unfortunate because he was trying something sexual with you, and it's not on.

I’ve done some similar stuff to your cousin that I’m not proud of. When I was younger, I perched on a smaller, weaker male friend of mine. He fought me off the same way. I easily overpowered him until he caught me squarely in the vagina with a kick. That was when I instantly dropped, threw up so, so much, and passed out. I’m a different person now. We’re on good terms now, and if he didn’t already know I’d advise him to do that to any other girl (or boy, for that matter) who didn’t respect his boundaries. The thing about fighting fair is that when someone violates you, you don’t need to respect their body. If you kick someone in the balls or in the vagina (yes, it’s that effective on women too), they WILL be immobilized. The pain that washed over me in that moment was too great for me to overcome and get to my feet. It was like I was being pulled to the ground, just by one kick. Men are the same way as us in that regard, we’re all very sensitive down there. While the future problems for women aren’t as serious as they are for men, I would say that a kick to the balls or vagina is your single best bet to take out an attacker who you’re not confident you can beat. Genitals don’t like to be whacked. Don’t feel bad, you did the right thing.

Future effects on both male and female are mostly about fear and respect. The person who got kicked learns that the kicker won’t take their shit. At least that’s what I learned and while it shouldn’t have taken that to teach me, there is no better teacher than crippling pain.
I think men can get sterilized and women can lose the capacity for sexual pleasure after a hard kick down there. I didn’t, but it could’ve happened and honestly I would’ve probably deserved it. I don’t think there would’ve been any other way for my friend to get out of that situation considering how much bigger I was than him, so I definitely wouldn’t have been mad at him in the long run. Nobody should feel shame when it comes to doing what you have to do to maintain boundaries, even when it means resorting to seemingly extreme measures.

Yes he does not give me trouble anymore. But his reproductive organs were damaged so it was a costly lesson

That’s the effect you want. Sometimes it can go further. I haven’t bothered my friend like that since then, and I now wear a protective jillstrap pretty much wherever I go to keep myself covered. Two lessons learned there, really. It was honestly helpful to me that he humiliated me the way he did. I think it’s helpful to your cousin, too.
