Although I dislike talking on the phone, I prefer it over texting (strangely enough). Talking on the phone is more personal than texting and it shows you are taking the extra step to try to get to know that person. And sometimes, some things are meant to be discussed over the phone. How annoying is it to type out a 3-page text when you can just say it in 5 seconds over the phone? Being able to speak over the phone means the two of you will be more likely to communicate better when you're face-to-face, in my opinion.
But if you just wanted to tell that person that you're thinking about them or to confirm plans, then a text is fine.

I love it when boys call me. I really dislike texting in general because I think it is too impersonal. A phone call from a guy is really nice and even better when he is just calling to say hello. Try calling her once and see how she reacts. If she asks why you are calling, you could either have a date in mind or you could say you just wanted to hear her voice.
I hate talking on the phone , I would always rather text.
UNLESS you have a specific issue that needs to be addressed/ discussed then a text is best. You should definitely never just ask a girl out over text you should either do it over the phone or in person but in person is best for that.
This actually happened to me. I didn't like talking on the phone with this girl I liked either so I just texted her all the time. We talked to each other like we were dating but never through the phone or in person. I did call her the first time I got her number but after that I grew so accustomed to texting because it was less stressful. Basically it ended because I wasn't able to communicate with her through the phone or in person because I was too shy. As long as your able to really communicate with her in person then your good but I would advice you start calling her even if she doesn't like it.

Sometimes texting, sometimes phone. Texting is nice for thinking things over and such, and if you're busy at something else, etc. but phone calls are nice if it's a really in depth conversation, just so the both of you can contribute without taking an hour to explain it.
Well spending a nice text to let us know that you're thinking of us is well nice. Calling is always better, you don't have to do often if you want to but there should be a nice balance. Besides it's always nice to hear each other's voices when you can't meet up
I prefer texting to talking. I also hate talking on the phone.
well for me its okay to text but if you call her it would be better! cause if you just text then she might assume that you're to afraid to actually speak with her!
i'm really shy, so espicially when I'm getting to know someone I like texting that way I can think through the respone and make sure I'm not going to say something stupid haha. but texting can be impersonal, so both have advantages
