Why do girls brag about not wearing makeup or dressing up?

Personally, I love makeup and doing my hair , its fun and makes me feel good, but I dont think it makes me any better. But the majority of girls I know who DONT wear makeup or dress up seem to brag about it , or kind of "one up" me by letting me know they dont need or want to wear makeup. Why is this? So many women I've met seem to think it makes them better or more attractive to guys that they dont wear girly clothes or makeup, if you're not into it , fine , but why do some girls think it makes them higher up because they choose not to wear makeup or even wear girly clothes? I'm tired of if

sometimes im girly and sometimes not, it depends on my mood and the time I guess and when I do dress up the special snowflakes at work don't stop pointing it out until I leave *eyeroll* bitches get triggered dunno why

I was thinking the exact "I'm not like other girls" phrase many of these women use, lol! And that's ridiculous , you know these women are petty when they make snooty comments about you because you dresses up or wore makeup, I smell jealousy

yeah they're like no that's too superficial I don't really care about that stuff but then I know they bitch about me just like they gossip about every other women, how they dress, what they said, where they go duh but of course they're not superfluous, they also have deep thoughts... deep buried inside them muster be cause I never heard they talk about anything else

I totally understand and what you are asking. I always do my makeup and almost always dress up and wear heels. I have found that those women who are critical are usually only that way because they want an excuse to not make an effort.

I mean, if the girl is GORGEOUS or ATTRACTIVE and doesn't wear makeup then yeah she should be EXTREMELY proud of the fact that she doesn't need to paint her face, but if she's ugly with dark circles and bragging about the fact that she doesn't wear makeup then she should just be quiet.
