Is it normal to shower with a parent?

Ok so don't just look at the title and answer let me give a bit of background story first. Alright, let's begin, so I grew up an only child in the family. My parents couldn't ever leave me alone at home for obvious reasons at such a. Young age so they put me in a daycare. I loved the place and ended up spending most of my childhood there rather than my parents house. Anyways, the owner was a single mother of two children, one boy and one girl. The brother was the eldest of the two he was 4 years older than me.

Recently, I was just reminiscing and remembered that the mother use to take showers with the daughter, she was probably about 8-10 years old. I never thought anything of it at the time it was just sort of their morning habit. Nothing weird ever happened there except maybe that. It was a great daycare that housed about 10 children. We'd spend our days there and leave when our parents were ready to pick us up. Is that out of the norm that they'd take a shower together or is that just normal? I feel like it's out of the norm just wanted to hear opinions/experiences. Thanks for reading such a long post appreciate the input
