There's this girl in my class that I sit diagonally to and she sometimes avoids eye contact with me. We have been ignoring each other, well I've been avoiding her, because I like her since the second day of class.
When I walk into class I see her looking at me, but I glance right away. The other day I made eye contact with her, but later on in class when someone in the back of the room asks a question she (like everyone else) looks back. What I notice though is that she's very careful to look away quickly so that we don't make eye contact or so that I can't see her directly (at least this is what I think). You see I try to keep my head on my notes even when someone asks a question, so that puts me in the position to not have to look at her. Yet with my peripheral vision I do notice that she glances at me for a split second, but I think it's just to make sure when it's safe to not look back. I mean sometimes she doesn't even look to the back of the room when someone asks a question, and I feel that this is because of me.
Do you guys think I've lost any chance I had with her, so this is why she does this?
