So I have had this friend at university who I've known for 2 years, (we have just finished the 2nd year, in the summer now). Half way through the first year we became decent friends, and in the 2nd year, we became closer and talked and joked more. I would help her out with work when she had problems and her with me, vice versa. She has said on a couple of occaisons after I've helped her things like 'you're one sweet guy!'. She definitely laughs at all my jokes naturally. I'm you're ordinary every-day guy, she's EXTREMELY pretty - but modest.
The thing is, our exams finished and the year ended and I didn't eventually tell her that I like her. I admit, I'm mad shy to start off with when it comes to girls; but we definitely opened up to each other and shared some cool moments. This may sound strange, but I noticed in the last week of exams that she realized that I liked her. On the last day, she smiled and her eyes instantly lit up when I walked into the exam room (but we could not obviously make contact because of exam rules.) I have to say, she has done that smile thing on a few occaisons and seems to warm to my presence.
So it's like she was 10 feet away but the moment wasn't right. I know she appreciates me and my small gestures though. She's one special girl (and knows I see that in her). I like her. She knows that I do as she gave those smiles/signs. But I couldn't find the right moment. Do I still have a chance for next year when we return after the summer?
