It's a completely viable tactic for self defense against both genders, just like eye gouging. Girls are just as vulnerable there as guys, but for different reasons. I've heard that guys have extra protection against damage to the pelvic bone bacause of the penis, but that comes with the possibility of testicular torsion.

Outside of self defense, I have to say that violence of any sort is inappropriate.
If you ever think about kicking a guy in the nuts for fun, then I hope you get kicked backed, see how you like it. I got kicked like that once by a girl at school for no apparent reason, she said it was funny, when I went after her, I was considered low and unmanly blah blah blah, well I stalked her for 2 months and scared the sh*t out of her everyday, until the the Headmaster threatened me with being written off school.
If it is in self defense, you shouldn't kick him but stab him there with a sharp or blunt object.

Self defense is one thing, anything eklse is f***ing bullsh*t,. It is f***ing sickening to see thiese questions are ven asked, tells it how much men are valued in western society, no matter what 'nice' and 'enlightened, modern, feminist' people say. For all the haters: I'm for women's right, but I'm f***ing against feminism and the arrogant stance it has taken. And I think there's more sexism against men than women nowadays. Amen
It is ultimately sexual assault, especially unprovoked. As a self defense move, of course it's a legitimate target, otherwise you are potentially causing permanent damage, sterilization, and other long-term effects.
I understand that some people seem to think that it's funny. Some people also think that rape is funny. Neither is.

A person should only go for a ball attack when the guy is seriously trying to physically harm you. At no other time should it ever be acceptable.
I think women who do that deserve a kick in the vagina, which hurts just as bad as a kick in the balls if you didn’t know. I would kick any vagina or any pair of balls in self defense.
Self-defense is the only time it's okay. Some guy you don't find attractive asking you to dance at the club is not justification for a kick to the balls. An unjustified kick to the nuts deserves a serious beatdown.
