I'm 5'8 and am really depressed about my height.

I'm a 5'8 guy and I'm really really depressed about my height . Seems like nearly every guy is taller than me . I'm really insecure about it and I constantly keep thinking about height when I meet someone . How do I overcome this ?

Btw , I've never been called short , it's more in my head , but I don't know how to overcome this !

You shouldn't be depressed about your height because some girls are shorter that you or the same height as you there are plenty of them out there I use to be the same way because I am taller than most girls and I dident think that guys liked me because I am 5'9 but I had to get over it because some guys like tall girls and some like short girls just like you some girls love short guys and somelove tall guys it depends on the person really but it shouldn't bother you at all because as long as you have a good persontalie and is sweet and honest a girl will fall for you anyday:)

Some girls out there prefer shorter guys. My boyfriend is only 5'6" and I love his height. And no matter what, there isn't anything you can do about it. Stressing about your height doesn't do you any good, it'll just give you grays. And even worse than that it will hurt your confidence, and confidence is very important! And like you said, nobody's ever called you short so it's obviously not much of an issue to other people. Just keep telling yourself that. Positive reinforcement can do wonders, even if you don't believe it at first, eventually it will sink in.

Huh I don't think 5'8 is that short lol at least not short enough to feel insecure about! Personally the fact that you are 5'8 would be the last observation I make when meeting you. I don't know what advice to give you to make you less insecure, I think it's just something that you are going to have to accept and get over :/...

You should know that there are girls who find that tall enough. For me, the top of my head hits your chin.

para, it's one of my favorite come back lines at a guy who's annoying me. Though if that doesn't upset him I pull out my nuke "tiny bank account". Now THAT really upsets most guys. I don't recommend using that unless you know how to run really fast or have bodyguards all around you armed to the teeth.

5' 8" is actually average height for a guy, so you're the norm. 5'3" (or maybe it's 5'4"? I can't remember lol) is average height for a girl, so no worries. Feel confident with your height and that will radiate out to others : )

Well, for a lot of girls, height doesn't matter that much as long as the guy is taller than her. In fact, there are a lot of guys I know who are like 5'3", but every girl likes them because they make up for it in personality. 5'8" is not that short either. Maybe you hang out with tall people? But, I think you should concentrate on other aspects of yourself... Like getting in really good shape or something. Then you'll forget about your height. Hope that helps!
