What does it mean if a guy calls a girl 'adorable'?

The guy I like told my friend he thinks I'm adorable. What does that mean? Is it a good thing?

It isn't a bad thing but if you are wondering if it means he wants to date you or kiss you, well hard to say.

1. It sounds a little condescending, like something you would call a small child.

2. It is just one simple comment, so you would be putting too much into analyzing it's meaning when it could mean very little.

Pay attention to #2. Women tend to put way too much emphasis on little gestures and words when it comes to deciphering a guy's thoughts. Guys just really don't plan out their actions like that. They can say and do things with little thought as to what it might make a girl think.

I generally agree with this. I'm petite and dress girly, so guys call me adorable all the time. They don't mean it to be condescending, but the do say it because I'm child-like

I take these compliments in stride and try not to overanalyze them because it doesn't always mean they're hitting on me, just that they respond strongly to my look

Well it's a good thing but also not maybe the thing you would necessarily like to hear from a guy, if you like him anyways. But it is a big term these days. So maybe depending on his tone it could mean different things.

All it means is he thinks you're cute. Anything beyond that though, can't be figured out just from that one comment. Does he ACT like he's interested in you? Does he flirt with you or anything like that?
