I've had a crush on this guy for a few weeks now. He's 5 years older than I am, and he doesn't have a girlfriend. He hasn't had one in 3 or so years, might I add...
We started out our relationship by playfully joking, teasing each other, etc. and sometimes we have serious conversations, but now it's gotten to that point where almost every comment he makes about me or towards me is added with a bit of acid...like, he would intentionally go out of his way to let me know that he doesn't care what I have to say (even if it's a small deal), or tease me about something. I almost always pout and say, "Why are you so mean to me?" but he never gives me a straight answer, he always just brushes it off like it was a rhetorical question. A lot of things have happened between since we met, and I'm not exactly sure or not if he knows I like him or not. It's kind of a love/hate relationship I feel like we're developing...both of us are too shy to admit that we like each other, and we display our feelings by being mean to each other yet having a romantic tension at times. I laugh at his jokes a lot and smile at him a lot, and we lock eye contact for 5 minutes at a time often (intense staring at each other! it's really hard not to laugh). At this party we both went too, I caught him staring at me/looking over at me several times, yet he's not smiling or doesn't smile after I look over...instead, it's just a serious stare. Weird, right?
He'll say things like, "You should get to know me better/on a more personal level," or once he interrupted me when I was talking to a mutual friend of ours, and I said, "Hey, I was talking to him!" and he responded with a, "Yeah?! Well you can talk to me", in a mocking tone.
This is just such a weird feeling...is he not interested in me so he's giving me all these different ranges of responses, or what?
