Aren't you supposed to take your time comparing items and choosing the one that you'd prefer? especially if it were expensive.
How would you deal with such a sales person?
1) You call them out on it. Cutting them off from what they're saying to say "You know, I don't really appreciate the fact that I came all the way here only to have to deal with your bad attitude." Tell them firmly what they're doing that you find rude, say that it isn't helping your image of their business and that you'd then like to speak to a manager. Politely but firmly voice your frustrations to their manager, don't accept either of them to interrupt. Kindly tell them "Excuse me" then keep letting them know what you're feeling. You might say that you aren't a firm or mean person...I say that it doesn't matter, you don't, as a customer giving them potential business, deserve to be treated badly by someone who IS firm and/or mean. It is your time to say what is frustrating you and if they have any professionalism, they'll listen.
2) Clever or not, a salesman is the last person in the world to intimidate me. The reason why is because once I get to the point of wanting to purchase something, I've already researched and learned about it on my own. So any spiel they have to sway me into buying it simply will not work. Salesmen are sharks and they will appeal to you all day for things that you think you want, but they are hardly "fair and balanced". Maybe it's just my personality, but salesman do the opposite of sell to me- they either annoy me or amuse me.
They aren't hard to "beat", you just need to be educated about whatever you're buying, and stay firm with them. I for one come out of the gates with the body language and my words that infer to them "I'm not an idiot or a sheep- don't treat me like one".
I shop at the dollar stores because I'm a cheap Jew and I don't even deal with scumbags like that. I sometimes get salesmen like that on the phone when I called about health insurance plans and when I called DirecTV. I told them that I didn't appreciate the hard sell and that I was going to hang up the phone...but I ended up getting the TV service because I haven't had TV for months and I was missing Jersey Shore :(
My dad, who is a New York Ginny truck driver, said that when he first started buying gold bullion he ran into pricks like that. Salesmen that spoke as if they didn't want to even talk to you if you weren't dealing in 10s of thousands of dollars in gold. He didn't buy anything from them and went to a normal person to buy from.
I do not like when people are rude to me for no reason especially if I am a customer. I will become quite curt and ask if he has a problem. That will be his only opportunity to save face, apologize and start over. If he responds again in a rude tone, I will write down his name and go to the Store Manager to have a little discussion on how his/her employee needs additional customer service training. In addition, I will also advise that I will take my business elsewhere in the future.
You are very professional :)
":)...
You're absolutely right. You SHOULDN'T get paid to do this! :D
Where's your manager? I think I saw him right over the- Ah. There he is."
But in reality. I normally don't ask salespeople for help, so I'd probably be scarred/flustered, excuse myself and run out crying (in my head), and google myself into expertdom about whatever I was buying. Easy peasy.
(jerks)
I'd take even longer, then not buy anything and leave.
lol

I don't know, ask for someone different or go to another outlet. On a side note ill let you watch this awesome salesman at work
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LAo-DmzdvK0That was hilarious! lol
I'd ask for a different salesman. No way in hell is somebody getting my commission acting like a prick. Or I'd go to an entirely different store, and make sure the salesman knows I'm going to a different store because he acted like a prick.
If you are buying something expensive this shouldn't happen, especially if your at a nice place. If a sales person ever acted that way to me I would call them out on it for sure and go someplace else.
I'd probably ask someone else to help me, and then find her supervisor and let her know how rude and unprofessional her employee was acting.
I hate how most American women are they are stupid.
oh and don't deal with them just say okay and leave not hard, why do you make this so complicated to do lol
I guess I would tell him to f*** off and if he doesn't want to serve me let me talk to his manager. Either that or make a scene so they lose customers.
I don't deal with sales people besides asking for something usually because I research online a lot. I'd probably just ignore the guy. If he wants to act like an uppity bitch I don't care. Just give me what the hell I want so I can go home. lol
i'd ask to talk to the manager/ supervisor and tell him/her that because of this sales person's rude attitude I will be shopping somewhere else.
Dunno, probably just give him sh-t and mock him.
But I'm usually on the other side of that fence - customers are raging morons.
I'd go somewhere else to shop. If they really want the business, there would be no need to be rude.
I'd leave and shop somewhere else
