What the hell? so does this make sense? So how are men supposed to know that the girl likes you.

Since avoiding eye contact is ALSO a sign that a girl does not like you.

Women will look at the guy they like as they are walking from far away, but as they get closer they will look away.

And sometimes not even then and when the guy they are interested in looks back at them the woman will look away, so that they don't know that they are checking them out.

Because the women think that they are "pouncing" on the man just by looking at him. And they don't want to come across as "too available"

Plus they don't want to get caught looking at someone who's very good looking because they feel like very good looking people don't want to be stared at. But it doesn't even have to be a hot guy, just someone she's attracted to.

The problem is EVERY woman thinks this way. So every woman prevents eye contact with men they like, so no hot guy is really getting stared at by anyone.

Ironically many women will confidently look men straight in the eyes when they are not attracted to them.

So women are sending mixed signals even when they don't even know they are.

So again, how the hell are we supposed to know when a woman likes us?

you know its funny too when you talk to a bunch of girls and they all say they would rather be approached AFTER a flirty eye contact exchange. Because its much less abrasive and less of a surprise.

i avoid looking at people I like in the eye because then they'll catch me looking at them and then they'll know I like them! if I like someone I don't want him to know how much I really like him because what if he doesn't like me? what if he just pretends to like me and then hurts me? what if he is really mean and just wants to do mean stuff to me? what if he comes up to me and asks me out? oh god, I wouldn't know what to do. scary thought.

This is why I literally have the best excuse for not approaching. I'm not afraid, I just know the signs and never received a single one. My excuse for being single, I CLEARLY haven't found the right one and in my case, it's ACTUALLY true and isn't the usual b. s. .

I kept telling people, I'm literally not the guy you just date. It has to be the right time/moment because their options are always better. Fact of life.

But, I'm good. Gotta remain productive and as long as I keep good people in my life, nothing can go wrong. I've been single a vast majority of my life and even through that, I still manage a pretty positive outlook. Sorry if my view seems a little insecure. It's not, it's just the truth is all. :)

This is why dating is a numbers game for men. You shouldn't worry at all if a girl is interested in you before you approach. Just approach, make some small talk, and ask for her number. If she declines, move on, and if she gives it to you, the numbers game doesn't stop there because women will still act weird.

As an example I've talked to a girl, gotten her number, talked to her over text and only then have her ghost me when it comes to meeting up for a coffee date. Women have the mental capacity of a child so male dating consists of constantly making small talk, asking women out, arranging little dates, and immediately weeding out any woman who is too flaky, which is most of them.

If a woman manages to keep her psyche from imploding over the course of several dates and your values align, then she's a good candidate for trying to move forward with in a relationship.

If I like a guy I will avoid him because I feel very self conscious and I imagine him looking at me and finding hundreds flaws in my looks.
But if I don't like a guy I will be super friendly because I don't care what he think since I don't want to impress him.
Right now there is a guy at work I kind of like but I won't talk to him because I'm worried he might think I'm not pretty enough or something like that.
Another guy I don't find attractive I talk to all the time and I have no problem asking him to join me for lunch or anything like that. Why? Because I don't care what he thinks.

If I see & he doesn't know that I like him I might stare especially if he is good-looking & hard to take my eyes off of. But if he found out that I was interested in him I would most likely avoid looking at him if he stares at me because I would be too nervous to see his expression.

I have worked hard on my fitness and get a lot of women looking away when I’m at the gym. Does that mean they all find me attractive then? lol. Honestly it just depends on the girl.

I’m more of a quiet person who feels uncomfortable with eye contact in general. Sometimes it makes me feel as if they are looking at my every flaw, basically being scrutinized under there gaze. Again many things make me uncomfortable but I’ve never been good at expressing feelings. I think some women are more open about what they want. Others not so much and will get flustered easily.

For me, I avoid eye contact with men I'm interested in out of fear of rejection. I have a long history of being rejected by guys I like. In middle school, guys actually used to threaten to physically assault me if I approached them or even looked at them. @Trainbuff24 Pretty late i know, but if i were to think, it could mean two things: Either she got more shy as she got caught looking (she might still do this but only when she is certain you aren't looking) or she lost interest. It really depends on the situation and progress you had, but try to see if she shows other signs of attraction/nervousness around you.
