Why do men check out half naked girls but want their girlfriend's fully clothed?

Love to check out a woman in very tight clothing, mini skirts, short shorts. The first thing that pops into their head is "I'd hit that" they even brang about doing such things with their guy friends.

The thing is the girl they want to take home to Mama...has to dress the total opposite. (more clothed and on a classier level)

I never understood this. If a half naked girl is what arouses you, How come you do not want the woman you care for to dress that way? I mean, what really is the point of this? If you're going to have your girlfriend and check out girls who are showing it all?

Ex. I go out with my boyfriend to a club (I wear a tight club dress), A lot of men are drooling over me and making comments such as "Damn, I'd pay for her." or "She looks so good" and he hates this type of attention I get.

Why do you want your girlfriend to dress fully clothed? but at the same time, the girls you do check out look totally opposite from your gf? HALF NAKED.

These a**holes want a girl that they consider classy, so that they can say they have a classy girlfriend. They want a TROPHY girlfriend, though they'd never admit it. A girlfriend isn't just someone you want to f*** and spend time with, it's someone you want to introduce to your friends, family - someone you're gonna be seen out in public with. They want to be seen with a CLASSY girl on their arm, because that's the image their after.

You're a photograph in a magazine, an old laurel chez long. Then you get married and you grow old and fat and depressed and he goes through a midlife crisis and buys a motorbike. F***those people, man. Get out of that cycle.

That being said, I prefer girls who dress up half naked, but seem to end up with girls who are fully clothed. But that's not a conscious choice, and anyway, I'm always urging them to flash strangers or something, LOL.

i think its pretty self explanatory. Lets use an analogy. There are a bunch of kids with candy. If they put their candy out in the open the other kids can take some of it. Of course all of them want more candy, so they want to hide their candy so no one else can take it. However, they really hope everyone else leaves their candy out in the open so they can take some of it. Now we will relate it to women. You don't want other people to be able to look at your girl's ass and boobs (like your candy), but sure you want to see all the other asses and boobs out their (everyone else's candy). get it?

Lol that's a pretty good analogy. I mean I disagree with it because I think that behavior is kind of silly, but you totally hit the nail on the head as far as the mentality behind it goes. =D

The simplest way I could explain this... guys want sluts for random hook-ups. They want the girls they date to be clothed, because they'll feel that she's less promiscuous. That doesn't mean they wouldn't appreciate some sexy lingerie when they're alone with their girl, though. I think the type of girl that most guys tend to like for a relationship is what you'd call, "A lady in the street and a freak in the sheets."

it's definitely a double-standard, but it's because we KNOW what all those other guys are thinking, and looking at, and we don't want them getting any ideas with our girl. Yes, we realize that WE are doing the same thing to other guy's girlfriends, but most guys don't want to admit that that's a double-standard.

Having said that, it never really bothered me, but the girls I've dated wouldn't have let another guy near them, much less succum to their advances. If my girl wore something sexy or revealing, she's doing that for ME, and isn't likely to wander off into a group of other guys that way.

If you're at a club/bar dressed liked that you're asking for "it". If you go like that to a guys parents, they're going to think you don't respect yourself...see the similarity?

Girls who don't show a lot of skin, are said to be "respected because they respect themselves", but how is that any different than a girl who wears something revealing, but also respects herself...

The real answer is, the ones who cover up, are either self conscious or they have some religious reason for covering up, just look at Muslim women

I'm a bit different. Obviously a girl who dresses like a whore looks sexually appealing, but I don't find myself desiring her for anything more than a few minutes of smashing. That's lust.

I would LOVE my girlfriend, therefore I wouldn't find it necessary for her to try to sell herself to me like that. If she does it because she craves attention from other guys, then I'm obviously dealing with an emotionally immature woman. That's not what I call "girlfriend material".

Because all guys want the dumb hot sluts to f*** and walk away. But for a girlfriend we want a more intelligent, conservative girl who is still hot, but not slutty dumb hot. Girls that dress like that are looked at just sexually. She is just sexual material. Guys want to date a girl that looks classy and isn't easy. Plus, guys don't want other people to see their girlfriend as just a piece of meat either.
