Why does he care about my opinion?

My guy friend who happens to be my ex was over the other night. When we were laying there cuddling, he was talking about getting his hair cut again. I mentioned that I kind of liked it just a bit shorter than what it is currently. He then said. "Oh! well maybe I'll just get it trimmed then." He always gets his hair cut the exact same every time. So, why does he care what I want his hair to be like?

For anyone, man or woman, 'guy' or 'girl', if someone is important to you, so is their opinion. He is equating you with his ideal partner, which leads me to the idea that you told him you are better off remaining friends. Nothing wrong with that; some people may simply not match. However, if you truly are not interested in him romantically, and he is showing such influence under your opinion... to keep awkwardness out of your [non-romantic] relationship, you may wish to have a clear-the-air talk with him, and let him know he should be doing what makes HIM happy, and not what he believes will make his 'ideal woman' happy. Now, on the other hand, if you ARE interested in getting back together with this guy, you should take this as a very good sign... =)

Thank you so much for your response. And thank you for actually answering and not being a dumbass like the other guy. I do still have feelings for him, always have... and when he left the next morning, when he hugged me bye, he also kissed my neck and forehead

No, wait, I always get these wrong. It's clearly "He still loves you and your impact on his soul is everlasting to the point where even his hairdo is effected. He cares what you say so he can wriggle back into your heart as you did his with your beautiful smile." Sorry, that's the right answer.
