Or do you think it's the other way around?
I would like to know what you think about that. :) Any related personal stories?
that would be cool if something like that was true, like you finally realize some girl you liked was thinking about you or something, but it is very unlikely. I don't believe it. last night there was this nasty bug in my house, and close to when I woke up, I dreamed that I saw the bug in the same room, though it was changed slightly and all sorts of these types of bugs like the one I saw before I went to bed were crawling around trying to reach up to me or chase me. and I got scared awake, and I think my head dreamed about that so I would go to the washroom. I always have scary dreams and have to go to the washroom when I wake up from them. like my body knows only one way to wake me up is to make a dream that I will try to get away form. oh and I don't think that this bug misses, me. I tried to kill it with a toilet cleaning brush while it was on the ceiling, and it fell off the ceiling and made a thump on the floor and I couldn't find it. then again maybe it wants revenge, so maybe it was thinking about me and maybe that's why all the bugs in my dream looked like that bug and were trying to attack me lol. I hope not
That bug seriously misses you! hahaha
lol, I hope not, Thanks for Best Answer!
:)
I'm not sure how the thoughts and feelings of another person are able to manifest themselves in the subconscious thoughts of another individual while they are asleep! lol Realistically speaking, it is more likely that the person in question happens to appear in your subconscious thoughts during sleep either as a result of random brain activity, or because that person is a deep rooted thought within one's own conscious or subconscious mind that has resurfaced during sleep. I hope that all makes sense! lol
It sure makes sense! hahaha I think it's a ridicuolous "psychological fact" lol
It's just one of those statements that people like to claim as fact, but that are very easy to disprove either by medical science or just plain common sense and logical thinking! lol But yeah, I'm glad it all made sense! lol :o)
It did! lol My common sense felt insulted while reading this fact :D
lol ;o)
Ps. Cheers for the wall post... I tend to only have girl 'friends' on here because I generally only answer questions from girls, as I mention in my profile description! lol I'm glad I could answer your question! :o)
You live to make girls' life a better one *tears* :P
lol Kinda true actually! :o) One of the main things I like about this site is helping girls by giving them a guy's angle on things, but still remaining objective and impartial in my advice. I suppose many people are here for similar reasons... :o)
That's very admirable. :)
Thank you! :o)
i doubt it, that would require telepathy or being psychic which I don't believe in.
ive heard that you dream of someone when you have seen them that day or thought about them recently because our brains process the days information whilst we sleep and some of it is regurgitated into our dreams.
ive also heard that everyone in our dream and every place setting is something/somewhere we have seen in real life even if it was a stranger passing by or it was from television
"Psychological fact" that that person misses you? Uh, no, lol. It's not...
All it means is that for some reason or another that person is on your mind a lot lately. That could be for any number of reasons. Maybe you owe that person money, and you've been stressing about it. Maybe you work together and you see them all the time, so naturally they're on your mind more. Or as the case may be, you may actually miss them.
I'm not saying it's a fact. I actually think it's pretty ridicuolous. Haha
That makes no sense whatsoever. Dreams don't tell you anything about other people, they could only possibly tell you something about yourself. But most of it is just mental waste from the day before, being processed by your brain. So if anything, it says you've been thinking about that person.

you've read this iis a psychologica fact? I don't think so. Maybe it could mean that you miss them but I don't think there is any proof to this and would be shocked to see that someone would could have any science to back it up...if anything it means you miss them but I wouldn't even believe that.
funny story though. I had a ringing in my ears earlier this week on Monday between 11a-12p. I was on webmd trying to figure it out. A co-worker of mine tells me according to Chinese superstition ringing in the ears signifies different things at different times of day...so at the time of day my ears were ringing it supposedly means you are going to receive a package from far away. Strangely enough I received a package at 11:05 from several states away... I know it's pure coincidence but it is a pretty creepy coincidence
Wow. That's strange, haha.
Where did you get this "psychological fact"? Anyway, it's neither; your dreams are not consciously controlled and any phenomenon related to this is generally useless since the only dreams that are linear to the day tend to be ones had in REM but once you hit deep sleep you can dream of all kinds of random things. Guided lucid dreaming can produce this result however, self-guided or otherwise, which is the REM version meaning that rather than you dreaming of someone you miss you purposefully think of that someone, or vice versa with you thinking that they miss you, and continue with the guided imagery. This is used in healthcare! Ha!
I read it in multiple articles and forums somewhere. Ofcourse it seemed ridiculous to me! haha. And thanks for the detailed answer. :)
Nope, dreams are a mesh of things you've seen or done... If you have a fondness for someone in particular, you'll think about them more often. The reason you can't dream about someone who misses you, is that there is no way you or your brain will know if someone misses you or not unless the person tells you directly. I don't read much into the meaning of dreams since often their just a huge mesh of illogical junk. I've actually stopped experiencing dreams, I mean we apparently have dreams all the time and just don't remember some of them... But for the last few years I've remembered none of them.
Likewise. I rarely dream and I like it that way. Your answer makes sense. I've just read that so-called "psychological fact" somewhere and it got me curious.
It's neither in my opinion
the dreams are working out subconscious problems & wishes, large & trivial
using as familiar surroundings and people required as tools for the story that often gets interrupted, repeated, etc.
Good point there. Thanks. :)
Anyone you've ever seen in life, even people crossing the road can appear in your dreams. And it really depends on the situation and what your dream is about. Maybe it's the other way around. From personal experience, when I think about something for a while, it appears in my dreams.
The dreams I had about my father, after he died, were certainly about Me missing HIM..and also the dreams Ihad about women, those were me missing them, uless you believe that other people can somehow invade your dream space...
This doesn't sound like any serious psychology to me. More like some kind of misguided interpretation of psychology.
It's the other way round actually. You dream cause you miss them and want them to miss you :)
Lots of stories, recent one being when I dream about you, I'm dreaming you dream about me :D :D ha ha ha ha
You don't dream about me lol
You want me to start writing here what I dream about you? ;) :D I could write a whole article ha ha
I challenge YOU! :P
I answered a question yesterday, I don't accept dares EVER, even when in school or college ;) :D
See? I win! :P I see no question like that answered :P
I don't accept dares - doesn't translate to my not dreaming about you ;)
I still win :P
My queen always does :D
=D =D
Dreams are your brain's way of organizing things. It's things you have seen, heard or been thinking about lately appearing in a twisted way. Nothing more than that. More likely it's the other way around.
I had a sex dream about Sade Adu (the EurAfrican jazz singer) a while back I don't think she misses me.
Hahaha! good point.
I doubt that that's a psychological fact since most psychological studies find that psychic abilities don't exist. I think it could mean you miss them though.
Sally are you suggesting that if I dream of YOU then YOU miss ME? Lol cmon girl You must be saying that is someone dreams of a person then they miss that person. Is it the second one?
I'm not suggesting anything, haha. I've just read it somewhere and it got me curious. :)
Hun you typed it was a psychological fact. I just choked on my coffee :P
That's what some people say, not I :P
You crack me up. Do you believe in psychics?
I believe in psychos :D
Aww you believe in me oxoxox (now give me best answer or I will go to you house and push you down that flight of stairs/cuz you are mean lol)
I'm SCarRReedDD! :P And you're not a psycho. :)
Hey I try to be is that close enough?
Nah :/ :P
*proceeds with big push of Miss Sally down stairs* me/ *pretends to cry* :P
Thanks. I wanted to reach the kitchen and felt lazy going downstairs. :P haha
Bum!
it is probably because I think a lot about the person during day time
Unlikely, I frequently had dreams about my unrequited love, but I highly doubt that she missed me.
it's the other way around.
