Editor of the Month, and Top 5 myTakes for January!

Hey GAGers! For those who may not be aware, every month we award one Editor who has stood out from the rest based on their myTakes. Editor of the Month is awarded to someone who not only produces myTakes on a consistent basis but also gives us good-quality content. Community interaction helps a lot as well! Creativity, variety, and effort are all taken into consideration when deciding who will win.

In addition to posting links to the winner's three best myTakes of the month, we're also going to post five of the community's favorites from other Editors (and regular users) as well.

@Lucifer_666 @Blonde401 Hi! We are always looking for new Editors, actively writing myTakes is the best way to get noticed and invited. So if you want to be an Editor, keep writing! Using media (good quality images and videos) as well as structuring your myTakes by using the Header tool, bolding titles, etc. will all help as well. :)

I've written some good takes. I wish you guys would just either accept or reject my application but let me know either way and let me know how to improve. I actually write takes and don't just copy and paste images into takes and call it work. So my takes take a little longer to research and write...

I've seen so many takes recently that are just images copy and pasted from google or from other sites and absolutely nothing else. Now I use images in my takes too but I also put in work and research and type things out. So obviously I can't post a take every day because it actually takes work.

@Lucifer_666 Only Editors can win Editor of the Month but any user can have their myTakes mentioned if the myTake becomes popular on the site and gets a lot of engagement. :)

@gagTake but if someone has applied to be an editor can't you guys at least respond with a no thank you rather than nothing. I really get the feeling this is all about popularity and who the cool kids are. So I guess you guys don't want my work and I won't bother trying to contribute any further.

@Blonde401 There is no physical application to become an Editor. If you are referring to the link you posted above, that myTake is very old and no longer being used. Anything submitted there is not monitored and has not been seen by admins. We have updated it now to reflect this. So again, if you have specific questions and want to become an Editor, please send us a message and we can discuss it. :)

I was informed by other users that was the place to apply. And it is linked in the help section, so that's where I got the information from. And seems pretty pointless as you've informed me to just keep writing and you guys would have asked me to be editor by now if you liked my stuff. I've seen people contribute less and get to be editor. So never mind. Thanks anyway
