Should the Asker be able to cast a vote on his own poll?

I really don't understand why Asker's vote doesn't count? What's the point about it? For example in a question of the type "Do you prefer to eat an apple with or without peel?" Why can't the Asker vote his choice? :-P

What do you believe?

  • Yeah the Asker should be able to cast a vote on his own poll
    53% (8)42% (5)48% (13)Vote
  • No he shouldn't
    47% (7)58% (7)52% (14)Vote

  • Of course, it's not fair if the asker cannot vote in his own question.

  • No. The person who created the poll should not vote in it. It just doesn't sound right.

    • why? in a question like "peel vs without peel" where's the wrong thing?

    • Suppose the poll is a tie, then the Asker's vote decides the result. How odd!

  • OMG K-51
    that would be cheating!
The asker already knows the answer.
    Silly!

  • The poll is to get info from other users only. If you want others to know your opinion then just mention it in your description.

  • I feel like if you're the one asking the question, you could just give your opinion in the description of the question, the poll is there for an easy view on what everyone else thinks on the matter.
