Gagers, which internet browser do you use to browse GAG from mobile?

I use Chrome mostly, but it doesn't support 'push notifications' from GAG.

Any way to get 'push notifications'?.

  • It depends on the device I'm using. On my Mac, I use Safari. On my phone though, I use Chrome.

  • I use CM browser on my S4. This anti-virus android app is faster, lighter and has the night mode which is better for our eyes if we are using our phone in a dark room at night. It also has better security and privacy features such as fraud prevention, download protection and do-not-track settings. I also notice better battery timings using GAG on CM browser :)

    • Yeah exactly, i am now on night mode. I use CM Security too which is the best security app for Android.

The same developer has cleanmaster and that is also very effective at phone optimization.

Xposed and its modules are great. I use greenify donation version and love its GCM push and telephony wake up etc.

But i don't think they understand these technical things. I smell XDA from your posts :p.

  • I used Safari on my iphone up until yesterday, then I installed chrome because for the couple days leading up til then GaG wasn't working on Safari.

    • I think Firefox and Chrome are at least 500% better than Internet Explorer.

    • I have a windows phone.
I don't experience any problems using Internet Explorer on my phone & it's really fast.
It's faster than Chrome on my other crap phones.

    • Then that's great. Internet explorer on computer is doomed though.

  • I'm using Chrome for now.

  • Of course it doesn't support push notifications, it's a website, not an Android or iOS app! That requires an actual application and registration for the cloud messaging service provided by Apple's thingy or the GCM...

    I use Chrome.

    • Yeah, true.

Recently, UC browser started push notifications for Twitter and Facebook and few other sites, so i thought maybe GAG has this too.

    • Yeah now i get it.

    • If GAG had a REST API, making an app would be simple.

  • Chrome because Firefox doesn't want to work on my mobile.

    • They are just like Facebook app notifications, like you get notified of the updates, even when you are not using it.

  • Right now I'm using Naked Browser Pro.

    • UC data compression and night mode is awesome. Opera has compression but no night mode.

For people using limited data plans, data compression saves a lot of bandwidth.
