I like to only answer questions for people closer to my age or younger. I don't feel like I'll give good answers to people over 19 because I don't know what it's like. So is there an age limit for whose questions you'll answer?
Generally speaking I try to avoid answering weight loss questions posted by under-18 females as they often have undertones of disordered body image/eating habits and anything I say would feed into that. Beyond that I have no rule (I stay away from sex related questions anyway).
It's easier for older people to answer questions for younger people, because we've been there, done that, and survived it. . . but a few younger people on this site have accused me of being a perv because I answered a question for a younger girl. I do not answer questions that are explicitly sexual for anyone who is 17 or younger because I want to avoid the appearance of doing anything improper with a minor.
Depends on the question, some younger people on here ask good questions that are worth answering, if it a sexual question I only answer over 18s mostly in the 25+ bracket , depending on how genuine I think the question is
Sometimes i comment on posts about raising kids or about divorces etc. What matters to me is how interesting the post is. I just like to comment on what i think is interesting even if the orginal poster is much older then me..
So i definetly do not have a age limit. I just like to act like a know it all and share my knowledge ;)
Its more about topic for me. Like if someone is 50 asking questions about good places to buy records I'll give my input. But if someone is my age asking about sex or relationships then I won't answer. Mainly because im inexperienced in those areas.
