It's new. No it isn't. It's new again. Oops it went back again. That is just G@G fucking with us some more. So, yeah, I will freak over that, too. Actually, I don't even notice any difference. Guess I am not that detail oriented.
A font is an instance of a typeface at a specified size, weight & style.
/typographical freak out
My father had a 2 up (11 × 17) letterpress in our basement when I was a child. Among many other things, he printed his own letterhead as well as the wedding invitations for my siblings. The unit shown is very similiar to the one he had. creativecurio.com/.../letterpress-c&p-after.jpg
Each California job case: amusetoibien.files.wordpress.com/.../...57c3cf.jpg held one font, for example: Courier, 10 pt. italic (The different size dividers reflected different patterns of usage for the Roman alphabet in English.) A cabinet filled with California job cases was a typeface more or less. My father had 4 such cabinets.
Thats a lot of lead.
When you have to carry that lead yourself, you learn the difference between font and typeface.
As a weightlifter yourself, I thought you would appreciate.
Eventually, my father gifted his letterpress to a working museum in northern Illinois.
I imagine they had a lazy day at the office and someone suggested "Hey we have nothing better to do, lets change the fonts!" "Thats a great idea! No one asked us to do that but we should totally do it anyway!"
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IT TAKES ME 2X THE TIME TO READ SOMETHING
Looks like some default 90s Times New Roman font or something. I like the old one better, much smoother, more inviting, easier to read. Hopefully it's an error and not a conscious design choice. I'm a graphic design student by the way this will bother me.
