I like to assess the person's credibility first. For example, in dating advice are they single and shy? For fitness/nutrition advice, have they been in a physique competition or something similar or just another-guy-who-thinks-they-know? For political input, do they have something to show like a polsci/econ degree?
I rarely ask for advice but I do read what others ask and answer. Definitely don't always follow what other users suggest. I got my own head. I just try getting some extra info and extra thoughts by reading the advice from others.
This is what i think: 1st off- Why be on GAG if you won't take the advice? 2nd off- There will always be trolls you should ignore, no matter what Q&A site u are on 3rd off- There are real people answering these questions, so this is telling you how real people think. If you weed out the trolls GAG is telling you how real people think and is very reliable. Many people just get mad when people dnt agree with them on certain points and say it isn't reliable.
LOL nope. Considering the amount of idiots there are on this site I would never blindly take someone's advice on here, I would never do that anywhere else either though. I might take others opinions into consideration, but in the end I'll always think hard for myself and do what I personally want to do.
I usually know the answer of the question before asking it. I just like to be sure i'm not doing the wrong thing, so it would be 100% but then after reading some crazy answers on some questions out there i would say 50%.
I never post questions for advice, I tend to message trusted, sincere and loyal friends on here when i need advice. I have followed a lot of @Paris13 's advice and I have always benefited by it. She is very wise and insightful . I value her friendship and advice so very much ♥
Not always. Sometimes I just like to have a different opinion. Sometimes, the advice a GaGer might give me is bad advice. Also, some GaGer's are assholes and when you ask a serious question (a question that's not stupid), they are just mean about it and don't go into detail about advice. I hate Gager's who just do that for the Xper instead of taking their time to actually answer.
